She is an awesome german lady! She prepare for her classes and that counts for something.. the nametags are a little bit lame but her class is interesting and she is a nice woman.. i would recommed her class highly.

The class is lecture-based so there are only a few class discussions, but the material is easy enough. She covers everything that will be on the tests so there are no surprises. I heard that her tests were hard so I studied a LOT, but her tests were some of the easiest I've ever had so don't worry. She's not fascinating but she's a nice woman.

Well I love this class but brentano is definetely not my favorite professor. she is a little bit too anal retentive on things like attendance, being late to class, cell phones going off, name tags. basically things that should have been done away with in middle school! tests are cumulative, which makes it very hard to do well and no extra credit

i feel like i am in elementary school in this class-you wear nametags, she threatens to separate people who talk and keeps track of everytime you are late or your cell phone goes off (seriously, she writes it on the sign-in sheet). tests are ridiculous and not based on the class notes, i dont even know where she gets her questions-not recommended

I started to like her more as the semester progressed, but definitely not my favorite teacher. The class was way too hard for an introductory class, she takes it way too seriously. The tests are hard and there are two papers. If you miss something on one of the slides, she hates it when you ask her to go back. She doesn´tlike to answer questions.

I learned so much in her class. She is very enthusiastic about the topic and explains even the most arcane concepts that anyone can understand it. Quite challenging but well worth it and stimulating. Great personality, positive and helpful.

She is a wonderful! There is a lot of material covered but she is willing to help students with questions. She makes her lectures interesting, which is important for a morning class. Her tests are very fair and anyone can get an A if they study the material covered. She gives out chocolate too!

I liked Brentano overall. She is a very nice lady but may be intimidating at times, but if you talk with her outside of class she is very understanding. Her class doesn't have many assignments, you just have to study for her three tests. Class was very interesting and helpful!!!

Quite simply: great teacher, great class! She is clever and has a wonderful sense of humor. She does expect a lot from her students and hates it if you miss a class or are tardy, but overall she is extremely reasonable. You'll come out a much more knowledgable person.

very good teacher! she speaks with clarity and directness and proper grammar. at times, her class may seem boring because because it is powerpoint, but her stories and info are very interesting. take her class! it was one of my favorite. plus-if you get the highest grade-you get german truffles! =)

She is a very nice lady. Her class is pretty challenging and you have to work hard to get an A on the tests. You have to end up knowing all of the material to get a good grade. Be prepared to do a lot of work in her class, but it is worth it. It is very interesting!!! She is willing to help if asked

Strict about rules, but really nice as long as you follow them. I have found this class really interesing, and she tries to make sure everyone understands. There is not too much work, and the reading is interesing. You do need to study for tests though.
