Dr. Ulbright was an AMAZING professor. She posted each section of both powerpoints and notes, and did not require a textbook. She was sweet and very knowledgeable of the subject. Would take her class again if she did not retire!

Comment:

Ulbright is very knowledgable about what she teaches, but struggles to dumb it down in order for you to understand what she's teaching. The tests toward the end of the semester are nearly impossible and there is at least one quiz every class. She covers an abundance of material and expects a lot of you. You do not need a book, she gives out notes!

Comment:

Ulbright is interesting to listen to in class, however I feel like I learned nothing in class and had to learn it on my own. I learned the most from the mentoring program the class has. Without it, I would not have passed. Be prepared to study all the time. Her tests are hard to understand and sometimes are not directly associated with the notes.

She is brilliant, teaches well, and is very funny in a dry sort of way. I wouldn't recommend skipping as there are 1-3 question quizzes every day. Lectures can be boring at times, but over all very interesting. The tests are hard, study all of the notes and I suggest doing the study guides she posts online.

If you've ever taken any human biology or anatomy and physiology class before then this won't be hard. She explains things well as long as you pay attention. If you fall asleep you might be screwed. Tests can be kind of tricky so review the notes a couple times. She doesn't take attendance but she gives 1-2 question quizzes every class so show up.

Dr. Ulbright is my favorite professor at IUPUI. I would take the rest of my courses with her if I could. She has a corny humor when she lectures, which I enjoyed. She was always very clear about what material was going to be on exams and gave excellent study tips. The exams require you to study well, but if you study you should be able to get an A

Funny old lady. Her lectures are tedious and you'll find yourself thinking about a million other things rather than paying attention but, if you print out her lecture notes and read it almost everyday leading up to exams, you'll pass. Her notes are where all of the information is that you'll need.

Dr. Ulbright is absolutely amazing. She is very intelligent in her field & you will be sure to learn a lot from her! She doesn't require a textbook, & all of her testsquizzes are directly from her notes & powerpoints on Oncourse. I had to work hard for my A, but it was not very hard material - a lot of memorization. Study, and an A is guarenteed!

Really sweet, fair prof who gives some extra credit (random lecture quizzes & outside assignments). That being said, this is a TOUGH class wcomplex material (many paracrine, endocrine factors to memorize etc.) Notes are jumbled, study guides inconcise & lectures consist of whiteboard drawings. Tests v. difficult, wno curves. Avoid given a choice.

Ulbright is a sweet professor that personally tries her best to ensure that every student gets the best gradeinformation possible. She is very clear and precise. She gives great real life examples and offers test make-ups and an accumulative retake at the end. Her test are hard and to keep up, you have to go to the biology resource center though.

This class is moderately hard. I didn't study as much as I should have and got a lower grade. Dr. Ulbright is super nice and will answer any questions you may have. She has in-class quizzes every class, which makes going to class a must because they count for points. She offers extra credit to boost your grade, but make sure to study!

Dr. Ulbrights embryology class was one of the most engaging upper level biology classes I've taken. The way she presents the material is both engaging, and amusing. Having had the chance to work with her extensively outside of class as well, I can honestly say she's one of the finest professors I've ever had the fortune of meeting.

I had a hard time with science classes in highschool but with Dr. Ulbright it was easy! I would recommend her to anyone. She gives UNLIMITED extra credit. She gives practice test and study guides online. If you fail the class its because you didn't try. All you have to do is print off the notes before class and highlight and write. That is all!

Prof Ulbright was a good professor. She explained everything thoroughly and answered any questions. VERY knowledgeable in her area, I feel I actually learned from her. I would recommend her if Science isn't your best area because she is very helpful and very thorough in her lectures.

She is an awesome teacher and is super smart. She does everything she can to give you the ability to get an A in her class. Take notes in class and print out the notes she gives you on resources and study them frequently.
