He cares a lot about his students, but not a great prof. Consistently made mistakes in probs on the board w/ new material and said, "check me," even though we barely learned it. Many times he never finished examples and skipped over essential steps when teaching a new topic. He expected that you look at a problem and see a final answer right away.

Clemons likes to talk about how hard his life was as if all his students are pampered and sheltered. If he spent the same amount of time just teaching DiffEQ that he did talking about farming and creating millionaires Im sure his students would actually learn. He told us how he birthed cows and used that experience to help his wife give birth.

Only gave 1 star because 0 stars wasnt an option. I was not in honors calc 2 but my class was given all the same work. I went to tutoring and put in the max amount of work and had fantastic quiz scores; I know the material. Others in my class had similar experiences, and we were informed that we had a 30% passing rate. NEVER take a class with him.

Clemons cares about his students, I'll give him that. He's sweet so I ALMOST feel bad giving him this horrible review. His Calculus lectures made no sense. He is dyslexic so his writting and explanations make NO sense. Teach yourself the class if you want to pass. Quiz every week, 3 exams and a final. No homework so your tests define your grade.

Clemons speeds through every lecture and does not like to answer questions thoroughly. He only does examples part of the way through and skips many steps and expects you to understand how he got the answer. His exams are very high-leveled and he grades very hard. He makes lots of mistake and is very inconsistent with grading. Would not recommend.

Clemons maybe a nice guy but his lectures are very scattered and doesnt finish any problems he starts. He expects you to finish them at home but since he doesnt teach you have no clue how to do them. Practice tests are nothing like the actual tests. Makes you feel stupid if you dont know how to do certain problems and steps. Wouldnt recommend

I would suggest you avoid taking this professor. I took Differential Equations with him over the summer: awful. Condescending answers to questions and extremely unorganized lectures. Want to know the section being covered, background information, or whats important? Good luck finding that here. You have to teach yourself the class.

Dr. Clemons really is a great professor. Sure, he might not have the greatest handwriting, but he is one of the few professors at this university that truly cares about his students. He is very busy but will go out of his way to help you. He provides everything you need to succeed in his class if you are willing to put in the work required for it.

I took Dr. Clemons for a 5 week Diff Eq class. The exams were identical to the practice exams he gives from the prior semesters, so it is very straightforward; but the man has a very bad habit of telling the same stories over and over again from his life. He also has a tendency to belittle you for asking questions that seem elementary to him.

Dr. Clemons is very knowledgeable in many areas of life but he is very difficult to learn from. His stories and life advice are fantastic though. He isn't very good at giving partial credit on tests so be ready for that. Make sure you study a LOT of problems from the book because his practice exams weren't similar to the tests except for the final.

He starts off as a nice professor on the first day of class but everything gets rushed starting the second day of class. He rushes through the material and when asked a question he gets annoyed and expects you to know everything just because he does. He is very smart but sometimes puts students down. Made me feel stupid and afraid to ask for help.

Moves very fast in class and hard to keep up, especially with his poor handwriting. Helps with questions in class but does so with an attitude. Grading is pretty forgiving, in his calc 3 class he drops the two lowest quizes and homeworks. You do one quiz and hw per week. 3 exams and a final for the class. He often goes off on a tangent.

Had him for calc 3. Good luck reading the board, his handwriting is some of the worst I have ever seen, albeit complains about students handwriting weekly. If you ask a question you can guarantee that he will make you feel stupid. He enjoys telling a lot of stories, who knows how many are true. Need help? He will tell you to just talk to the TA.

Prof. Clemons tells a lot of cool stories that will make you feel terrible about yourself for not doing better in life. As a prof. he is absolutely terrible. He expects you to know everything and wont explain content. You will be better off skipping class and reading the book and going to a tutor. If you ask a question, be prepared to feel stupid

He is an amazing person but not a great teacher. He shows stuff that you don't need to know for the test. His writing on the board is close to illegible. However if you do not come to class you will not receive the graded homework or know what is on the weekly quizzes. Have fun teaching yourself outside of class.

Curtis Clemons teaches like he is trying to impress you with his math ability. He moves way too fast, doesn't explain any of his work, and is condescending when you ask him to slow down or explain what he's done. You will get a much better grade if you only go to class when necessary and just follow along out of the textbook.

Dr. Clemons is truly a great professor, one of the best the Mathematics department has. Taught Complex Variables after the teachers got swapped around and it was the best thing to happen. He made this difficult class simple and understandable. Lots of homework, but it's graded for a large portion of the overall grade and helps with exams.

I had Dr. Clemens for differential equations in Summer 2017. I've never had a professor who cared about his students as much as him. I can speak from his summer DIFFEQ CLASS is easy. He lays out all past summer exams. Same questions except numbers are changed slightly. It was so easy didn't work hard at all and I enjoyed going to his class everyday

Took this guy for differential equations. I carried a solid grade going into the final, then the final was made unbearably hard which hurt my grade in the class. Class notes are hard to follow and he goes WAY too fast. Claims it's his style of teaching, but in reality he's just a bad teacher. Quizzes are way too hard. Some quizzes are take home.

Dr. Clemons is a little scatterbrained at time, but he is brilliant. Talks a million miles a minute and will make you work for an A. He will always always answer any question in as much depth as he can. He wants to see his students succeed and will often spur of the moment change some quizzes to make them easier if quiz scores are low.
