Dr. Adkins is really great. He provides tons of examples in class and he works every single type of problem out on the board multiple times, so you should know what to expect for the tests. The Mastering Physics homework is kind of tricky sometimes, but he is aware of that and will often throw out a few questions when grading it.

I had Mr. Adkins in high school, and went on take his class in college because I liked his class so well. He cares about his students, and does his best to make sure they do well. Great man!

Not helpful at all. The mastering physics homework that is required takes forever and isn't worth much credit. He lectures one way and then tests you another way. All around a terrible class

This class is HARD. Mr. Adkins is nice as a person, and will clarify things if you don't understand, but doesn't have the best classroom management. Lots of talking goes on while he's trying to lecture and it makes it very hard to learn. Lectures well, quizzes are very hard, tests are a bit easier but still difficult. Not taking him next semester.

He is super helpful, but dont bother buying the book. He doesnt lecture out of it. He doesn't mind you asking questions, and his powerpoints are really helpful! Quizzes are kinda tough, so DO THE HOMEWORK. Also, the cybersky assignments he gives, do them! EASY 10 points, esp if you miss a lab or mess up one!! Taking him again for 110. He's awesome.

If you have to take 109 and 110, take Mr. Adkins. His power points are extremely helpful during the lecture. He also explains stuff well if you ask him to. In lab, he is really helpful too. Definitely recommend him =)

Powerpoints are really helpful. I thought quizzes were harder than the tests. Nice guy but I thought this class was harder than 109 and I even had Bady for it and got an A and I will probably get a B in this one. Somewhat hard

He is a great teacher. He is so helpful and cares so much about his students. I had him for 109 and he was wonderful. Now I have him for 110 lab and I go see him for help in the 110 Lecture class. I wouldn't have made an A on the test had he not explained things to me.
