Prof. Dinter is just an overall good guy. He cares about your success as a student, and wants you to enjoy learning about geology. His TA's can be tough graders, but he will gladly work with you if you approach him with your concerns.

The class is hard no matter who teaches it, but Dinter is the best. He's been teaching it for more than 19 years, so he knows his stuff. Ask him anything if you have any problem with the report and he'll help you. Don't worry so much about getting low marks, as long as you learn and understand the material, that's more important.

David is not the worst teacher but he is probably the most boring. His homework is so specific he will mark a ? Wrong for something small. He expects you to memorize everything he says. He is constantly turning the lights on and off for the projector when you can see if just fine. Gave me migraines. Couldn't concentrate

Great teacher. It is an easy class if you are a Geology student. Mostly a review. The project is a pain in the butt but is mindless. He is a fun teacher and makes things interesting.

He has been my FAVORITE professor in the history of forever! He's such a nice person in general, which makes him an even better teacher. He helped me in class, academic advising, and wrote me a Letter of Recommendation. You'll actually want to go to his class, and recommend it to all your friends! AMAZING!

SUCH a fun class! Fun teacher. Very easy. You'll even learn a little something. No quizzes/tests. Final exam and a few, short written assignments. You HAVE to go to class.

If you need an easy science gen ed requirement, you need not look further. Dinter is a real awesome guy who is real straight forward and uses no textbook (that's a plus). No exams/quizzes, just a final project and a few written assignments. Like I said, easy class, but you do have to go everyday. There are daily in class assignments that're easy.

Awesome teacher for Earthquakes & Volcanoes. Dinter is very animated and loves what he teaches. Also he does all the homework with the class during lecture. Final project is a bit of a pain, but very easy. If you go to lecture then this class is a very easy A.

Dinter teaches field geology, a senior class, the material is difficult in a challenging learning manner. It is not suppose to be easy, it is suppose to teach you. Dinter is very helpful and if you have a positive attitude he reflects a positive attitude. Dinter made me feel like a student, and learning geologist, not a number or blob in a seat.
