Comment:

Without a doubt the most interesting professor I have ever had. It's very unfortunate that he is retiring after Spring semester 2013, and that all his classes are already filled up for that semester. He is boring at some points, but his knowledge of American history is as in depth as it is interesting. He's just an all around great guy.

Ok, this class can be a bit boring sometimes. But the work, especially for a history course, is minimal. over the course of the semester, you write 3 document papers and 3 take home exams. thats it. I recommend. He isnt a hard grader, at all.

He's pretty boring, and there's a TON of work to start off the semester! A total of 7 papers, but at least there's no tests. Tough grader too, he got mad at us one time because some people's writing wasn't good. And this is a history class! Makes it difficult to get the A.

I've taken this guy four times now. Every class is the same- a lot of reading and a little writing with lecture. No tests, as he doesn't want you to be screwed if he gets his kidney. He doesn't assign a lot of writing because he doesn't like to read papers. He is dry, but also has a dry sense of humor to go along with it, if that is your thing.

Ok...this guy is pretty old. He wears a beeper, just in case they page him about his awaiting organ replacement...in terms of his class, BORING. It's really easy, you only have like 5 or 6 pages due all semester, but A LOT of reading. Take if you must.
