One of the best professors I have ever had. Genuinely cares and wants you to learn. Easy to understand and makes class entertaining. Super easy grader for exams and essays - literally only looking to see if you know the material. You have to try to fail; anyone complaining about him is just bad at school.

Comment:

Professor Schwartz is easy to talk to and likes to make jokes during his lectures. However, his lectures are full of a lot information. Memorization is key, especially during his midterm and final. He has two 500 word essays , though he is an easy grader.

Comment:

Schwartz is a great Professor and cares about his students too. He stresses the importance of writing in his class and makes history actually fun. Iclicker is used for points so dont skip class bc its for attendance. He goes really fast during lecture so just print out the slides he uploads to canvas to refer or reading the ch.

this was the absolute BEST PROFESSOR i've ever taken at UNLV! he truly cares about each one of the students! his class is all lecture but there are very few assignments and he gives you so much feedback! you have to try hard to get a bad grade in this class because he makes it so easy to succeed. super caring, nice, TAKE HIS CLASS!!

The textbook for the class was almost completely unnecessary. I used it for the two essays and that was it. He is a very generous grader and if you follow the very basic guidelines for the essays and homework this class is an easy A.

Great overall. Gives feedback on all work, tries to help whenever needed, and gives study guides for exams. Lectures are simplistic and make it where you don't need the book, the book is only needed for the 2 papers you write in this class.

I never liked history before this class honestly. He was really funny, super smart, and great at making the material interesting while teaching you A LOT in one class. He's available if you need extra help and very accessible. If you're like me and you are dreading taking all your gen eds, Prof. Schwartz will make it a little more bearable.
