Comment:
Dr. Wilson expects a lot for a first-year course. I am in my third year and found it challenging. Five novels/stories to read during the semester with a quiz, forum and essay on each. Moves very fast without spending a great amount of time on the subjects. Willing to give extensions if you ask and is, in general, a nice person.

Mr. Wilson always keep serious to every students except he is making joke to some body else, he did not show full respect to the entire students, he gave us a lot of assignments about grammar and never had a feedback, also we have got no idea about his handwriting.

He is a funny instructor, but he has tough grade. I think what he taught during the lecture is less relative to your paper. You have three papers in this course, and I don't think he give enough descriptions for how to write the paper. Also, I think the group activity is wasting too much time.

I enjoyed Davids classes, there group discussion heavy and they were interesting.. but for a first year course he is a really tough grader; cant read is writing and his moodke is complete mess. I hated not knowing my grade until then end of term. I hated not knowing when quizzes and everything was due. His moodke needs serious organization

Dr. Wilson is very passionate when it comes to learning the English language. Very easy going and easy to understand. I would definitely take one of his classes again. Open discussion class so beware if you are shy.

Dr. Wilson is such a great prof for an intro class. He's engaging, a fair marker, and gives clear and honest feedback. I never thought I could learn so much about the English language and how to improve my writing! 99% of his classes are based around group work so if you're shy, this might not be the class for you. All in all a great prof!

Great prof! Although there's lots of reading and tiny assignments to do in his classes, he gives good feedback and information on what he presents.

Lots of reading in short time. Classes were only 20 min and didn't do anything in class. We didn't learn things we were tested on. Want to learn to analyze stuff so we can use it in the essays, but nope. Essays and exam asked us to do things we never even discussed in class. Overall good prof but needs to be flexible in grading if you don't teach

Online class usually ended early. He is lots of help and very patient if you don't understand something. I found him to be a hard marker and even though I followed his feedback my grades on my next papers never got any better.

While his class is not hard, it is not easy to follow his setup on Moodle. Things are scattered and disorganized. He gives very short time limits on quizzes, and doesn't seem to appreciate student feedback.

An OK professor but would not take him again. Problems include wasting class time talking about his dull personal life, putting arbitrary time limits on quizzes, being very slow with feedback, pulling marks out of thin air, and being insensitive to students. Does not come across as particularly intelligent.

Another year, another class with David Wilson. As always he is fair and helpful, he truly wants you to succeed. I will be graduating in April and I can definitely say that he was the best professor that I've had at the mount, I've taken a class with him every year for 4 years and always got a good grade.

Great professor - but not very approachable. Classes were interesting, and the use of group collaboration was helpful. I wish there was more emphasis on actually writing, as opposed to reading and analyzing a text.

Not really sure why people are saying he doesn't give A's... I got nothing less than a B+ on all of my papers and assignments in his class. David Wilson is a great professor. I was less than excited to be taking 18th Century British Novel, but it turned out to be my favorite and most interesting class. I would take all of his classes if possible.

David Wilson is a fun prof, he is very excited about the subject matter and his excitement is infectious. However, I found him very disorganized and a slow marker. The worst part of the class is that the syllabus is just the grading scheme so you have no due dates and he doesn't always listen to questions before he answers them.

I found his class enjoyable, insights interesting and David himself quite personable. I don't know why people are saying he never gives As. He gave me one, (well A-), but I worked hard for it. The writing load was heavy, but his grading was fair.
