Worst Spanish professor ever. Very boring and unenthusiastic. Gives loads of online homework that takes you 10 hours to do. She is a nice lady though. But doesn't help much. Would not recommend taking her, unless you don't really care to learn Spanish.

Comment:

Haven't had a Spanish class in 7 years, but still did well. The class is tough only b/c there is so much memorization. The homework can be tricky but the teacher is very helpful. She's never mean, the tests go over exactly what you learn in class & she tells you what will be on it. I definitely recommend her, she's easy going.

Currere is a great teacher. Slows down when you ask her to, helps you with homework, tells stories in spanish and asks if you understood. Goes over everything. Easy-going. But you WILL have to do your homework!

What a joke. She read from the text word for word and handed out work sheets. She sat there when we did them. Repeatedly we had to ask her to slow down or explain or she acted lost. Gave us a YouTube site to go to teach us what she should be doing. We taught ourselves & my grade showed it. Could say much more but limited to 350 characters!

If you want to learn true everyday Spanish from Mexico. Take this professor. All of the other professors teach Spanish from spain which is very proper and no one will understand you. The majority of hispanics in this area are Mexican and that is what should be taught in school not from Spain. Very passionate. Amazing teacher

Anyone who took this class and didn't understand it was not trying at all. She is the best spanish teacher I have ever had. The oral final was easy and was way better than having to take a written one. She only asks you to say like 5 sentences, and how else do you expect to learn how to speak if you don't practice. She is an excellent teacher!

She is a great teacher. I thought the class was easy if you are willing to put the time in. I am taking her again for SP 102. She told us what was going to be on all of the exams and that is exactly what was on them. I don't like Spanish, but she makes it tolerable.

She tends to mock her students. She doesnt make any effort to give extra help to students who, very clearly, don't understand it. She assigns online homework and her tests are really simple, but her oral final portion is hard; she laughed at me a couple times when I mispronounced something- not very encouraging. Generally I would not recommend her.

She is by far my favorite teacher! She is super nice and treats everyone with respect and kindness. Her teaching methods are wonderful. In high school spanish I did horrible but in her class I received an A and understood everything.

Before taking Currere, I didn't do very well in spanish. With her, I've recieved an A on every single test. Best teach I ever had. She makes me want to learn more spanish.

Srna. is a good teacher but she needs to learn how to take her time on the different chapters. She goes from one thing to the next and doesnt give you time to take it all in. She also needs to learn that sometimes you cant help it if you cant come to class that you might have an emergency but she still takes points off for that.

I took Spanish before and dropped out because I just didn't get it. Now for the first time I understood. Sra. Currere is great! I thought I would never get it before, now I am going on to 102. And it seemed to me that she liked questions and comments from students.

She is a very nice teacher, but I found myself quite frustrated in her class. She never asks if anyone has any questions, and you feel like you are inturrupting when you do. When a new topic is taught, not enough time is spent showing and teaching, but she launches right away into having us try to use it. Need more examples of how to use new words.
