She was the only real GRAPHIC DESIGN teacher I had on my 4 years of University. Yes, she takes class like if is an actual job environment where she demands the best and if not, she just rip it off and you need to start again. Also this gives you a change to see who is ready for this kind of world.

While I was at UT I thought she might have been one of the hardest professors I had, and not grade wise but emotionally.After graduating and looking back to my experience,I realized Delia was only trying to push people harder.If she was being tough that meant she saw potential that was not being reached.I never thought I would say this,THANKS DELIA

Fun class, I really learned a lot. If you show her that you want to learn, she will be very helpful. If you don't take the class seriously, you will pay for it in the end. Great for GD majors, even though I'm not one, I would still take her again.

As a graphic design major I respect all the criticism she gives. She knows her stuff and is willing to help you if you are willing to work hard. She wont tolerate laziness and isnt afraid to fail anyone. For those who dislike her: grow up, she treats you like any boss would in a real job: do your stuff, do it well and work hard and you will do well

A note for GD majors: you chose a brutally demanding field, and should feel blessed to have such an honest professor. She is all about growth and determination. If you don't care, you aren't worth her time. On grading: if you got a bad grade you either slacked off or suck and should rethink your goals. That's the bottom line. Thank you Delia

She's very knowledgeable and expects hard work and dedication. Don't be a waste of her time and she won't be a waste of yours. Take time to learn outside of class and READ. You won't learn everything you'll need to know in the classroom. She doesn't tolerate laziness. If she's tough that means she sees potential that is not being reached. Must be frustrating. I respect her and appreciate all she did for me (even when she screamed at me and made me cry, which was a lot). Thanks Delia!

Look, talent CANNOT be taught. Don't expect it to be. You have to have a desire and a talent for design to suceed in this class. Go to a REAL design school, and this is how it is. If you suck, or have a bad attitude, you will not like her. She is awesome and tells it like it is. Deal with it.
