I did not do super well but I passed. I am leaving this message because it was no fault of Davar. He is an an amazing professor. Any student in an UD math class crying about how "the tests where not like the homework", is being a poor sport. Probability 5010 and any other class he teaches are not easy classes, don't blame the teacher.

Comment:

Davar is a great professor. His tests were extremely hard but he was reasonable with the grading and the curve at the end of the semester. He gives you the opportunity to do well and his lectures were useful for the assignments and tests. Used the textbook all the time, and going to his office hours really helped me improve.

Horrible professor, not at all helpful. Exams were horrible, not at all related to the homework problems or the problems in book. One of the worst professor i ever had at U of U

Davar is a great teacher. My particular class involved computer programming which he never approached at all in any lectures. The pre req courses which were supposed to develop MatLab skills were very weak. Other than that A+

This class was awesome, and Davar is definitely one of the best upper division math teachers at the U. He's very willing to help during office hours, and he tells bad math jokes during class. He also kind of sounds like Kermit the Frog =D. Tests are clearly based on the homework, so if you do the homework you'll ace the tests.

This dude's voice puts me to sleep in the lectures!! Not very clear on tests, but a lot of help on homeworks in the discussion class (seperate from lecture). Overall not a bad course
