One of the six top teachers in all my life! Always interested in Classical art since childhood and as an artist, Dr. Liakos swept the dust of the art of pre-classical/classical Greek art history and made it vital. I only wish I could have taken other classes from him but I moved away.

One of the best Ancient Art History professors, and knew his Egyptian art as well. Very proficient in knowledge. Wonderful personality. Very fair professor. I really liked him in the 70's and still admire him now. I had undergrad classes with him and graduate level also.

This guy knew his stuff. Def. the smartest teacher I had. His class was HARD though, expected alot from his students. If you write really good notes and study 24/7 you can get through it.

Very helpful, very demanding. grades on a curve. He can be hard to understand (Greek accent), just ask questions in class and go to his office hours to ask for help, he is more than glad to answer questions that pertain to the class.

This guy really knows his art history! He doesn't even need to read from books or notes, he just talks from his head. If you study and work hard you'll do fine.

this class was horrible and the material was presented in a very confusing manner. got very upset if people tried to ask questions, and spoke extremely softly with periodic spikes of loudness.

Liakos was the best art history professor I had while getting my BFA. He demands 100% from his students and gives 100% in return. The classes were dynamic and well organized. A good professor requires students to integrate and anaylze the material.

He isn't awful, just be sure to have all the dates and locations of the artwork DOWN. His accent throws everyone off, just raise your hand and ask!

You get 3 exams during the semester and that's your grade. Make sure you know EVERYTHING about what he's teaching, down to the last detail. He talks very low at times and rarely repeats anything he says. Now homework, just 3 exams.
