Read, read, read. She does individual and team learning. Exam weeks consist of a quiz and a test. Its a lot. But she is always there to help! Especially for lab reports!

Dr. Powers won't let it slide if you goof off in class, but she cares about all her students and appreciates those who pay attention and put in the effort. She's big on teamwork and class participation. She's also the best at putting grades online quickly. I would recommend her to anyone, science major or not.

so happy I took this class because it helped expand my knowledge of the world around me she was so helpful when I needed help or helping me get a better answer than I had she took the time to really show me how I can approach things from a different way and not just from one thing to the next

in the classes Ive taken with her I was very happy with taking the class because it not only took me out of my comfort zone but challenged me on a higher level I would definitely recommend bio classes to anyone who needs one or to who needs to take one it really helped with expanding the idea of what bio really

She's very organized and covers a lot in each class time. Tons of classwork among your "team members," which makes it more interesting. Impressive how well she knew everyone's names. Course load can be difficult, but if you show up, participate, fill out the study guides & study, it's fine. Donna is easy to talk to & knows what she's talking about.

chose Mrs. Powers as a professor because she's my advisor as well. It felt like she skipped too many PowerPoint slides during her lectures. While sadly unless you're willing to make an appointment she's hard to get in contact with other than via email. She's a wonderful person just not the right professor for me.

Real nice lady. Very helpful and wants to see people succeed. I don't like bio, but I was glad I had her for a teacher. Middle age, down-to-earth. Loves what she does and it shows. Wish I loved it as much as she does. Very knowledgable. If you have questions, ask. She gets back to emails quickly too. And she's really pretty. :)

Dr. Powers really makes the learning experience fun. Her notes are easy to follow and she gives them to you along with study tips and tricks. She is very easy to approach and learns your name very quickly. She's young and makes the course material relevant. I would recommend her to anyone needing or wanting to take a biology class.

Nice, straightforward ... a pain that you have to be there for a quiz every Tues, and no make-ups allowed, but she drops 1. Save your quizzes because the final is made up entirely of old questions, which is great. I'd recommend her. Good prof for the lab too.
