Comment:

He's an ok professor. His lectures were kinda boring and I spent most of my time on my phone. I had to really study for his tests, but he curves a bit so you should do fine if you do the work. Most of his tests come from the powerpoints in class so it's important to show up. I do not recommend taking him at 8am because his monotone voice sucks.

Comment:

He is one of the worst teachers I've ever taken. His tests have nothing to do with his lectures or even the book. He gets his tests from a completely different platform. I struggled so much on his tests and only passed them because of giant curves. Also, his class is SOOOO boring. I ended up skipping because it wouldn't help to go. Do not take him!

Comment:

Really nice teacher, but this class is SO difficult, would NOT recommend at all. Test are SO detailed that you need to have read the chapters so thoroughly and mastered the material to get the answer right. Test questions don't come from the quizzes as a heads up, but he does curve. Save yourself, and take another class.

He's a hard professor. Remember the online quiz questions because some will pop up on the test. Read the textbook and watch Crash Course Astronomy videos on Youtube. His notes aren't super helpful for studying. You can pass this class, but he definitely makes you work for it.

Online homework quizzes every week, make you do them cause theyre 25% of grade. 3 tests and a final, make sure you read or you will not pass, easiest science by far but def not cake

Comment:

Dr. Domingue is a great teacher. The material itself in PHYS 1012 was simple, and by practicing and turning in all of the assignments, it is very manageable to earn an A. The problems on the tests were often things we had been assigned for homework: no surprises. Dr. Domingue is very understanding and accessible outside of class (via email esp.).

This is a computer programming class so if you like computers, you will like this class. He grades the homeworks kind of difficult and the tests vary in difficulty but I think I am going to get an A out of the class, and I hate computers and programming and it just doesn't click with me.

Really enjoyed this class. Attendance not mandatory, but he is a very good teacher, so it helps to listen to the lectures. 3 tests, a final, and online homework weekly that comes straight from the book. He lectures with a powerpoint. Tests come word for word from online study area quizzes on Mastering Astronomy. Take him--easy A/B! Lab is online

he is extremely boring and lectures are very uninteresting. I got a B in the lecture because I did the online homework and studied the night before for every test. tests were still hard, but manageable. I hate science and astronomy, so I didn't enjoy the class at all.

Pretty easy class. No attendance policy, test questions come straight from the homeworks. You could probably get away with not buying the book, I barely used mine. Only got a B in the class because I got lazy toward the end. An A is very possible though if you study! I would recommend him.

This is a very straightforward astronomy class. I have no interest in astronomy but got a B in the class. The homework is all online and you can google every answer or just look them up in the book, very easy. You should have a 100 homework average which will count hugely. Only 3 tests and they come WORD FOR WORD from the study area online.

If you are interested in Astronomy, then this is the class for you. He has three tests, a final, a small presentation, and online hw assignments. Tests come mostly from the online questions for practice. I hardly went to class, made A's on the HW and got a C because I didn't study for the first test. You need to study but its a good class.

Took him for maymester, he is AWESOME! Test questions come straight from homework and notes, very clear, smart and loves what he teaches! homework is kind of hard at first but it gets easier, don't have to read the textbook but will need it for homework. notes are fill in the blank. i got a high b

I had him for Astronomy-Intro into the Universe and lab. I literally NEVER went to class except for the tests and still got a B in the class. His tests are easy (he gets a lot of his questions from the study area from the online homework). The homework is fairly easy..I suggest doing it with a buddy and he drops the 4 lowest HW grades. Take it!!

Very easy class if you keep up with the assignments. A lot of the work is online and attendance isn't taken, but it is helpful to have the notes and know what is going on in class. I can see how it would be easy to fail the class if you didn't try but Domingue knows what he is talking about and makes the class as simple as possible. He lectures are

He is absolutely wonderful to have for lab! I could see how he would be a tad boring for lecture. but overall definately take him! if you show up, do the labs, and keep them ( you use them for the midterm and final )and the labs are even kind of fun.
