Comment:

He gives great lectures and takes the time to explain concepts. Don't be afraid to have your own opinion but be ready to back it up. As long as you go to class, do the readings and attend the productions you should be fine. The syllabus is very clear and there aren't any surprise tests and you're never quizzed on something that not in the reading.

He is hands down my most favorite professor at UNLV. He is funny, understanding, & fair when it comes to grading. There is a lot of reading (as this is an advanced theatre class) but the readings are usually very entertaining. As long as you show up, study, & do your best you'll be fine. I'm not a theatre major but I found a new respect for the art

I have so much respect for Professor Hill. He is so passionate about his lectures and it radiates to the students! Don't be afraid to have your own opinion about a play, as long as you can back it up (spoiler: which he really wants)! P.S: AS LONG AS YOU COME TO CLASS, TAKE THE NOTES, WATCH THE PRODUCTIONS, AND DO THE READINGS YOU WILL BE FINE!

Honestly, one of the best classes I have taken. He does not post his lectures online and you must write down everything on the powerpoints, but he tests you on what is taught in class. He makes the lectures interesting and fun, while not making them about what he believes to be true. Overall, fantastic class. He is definitely worth taking it with.

Would not take again. Long lectures and says a lot of questionable things in class. Class material is interesting but I felt like I didn't learn anything because of the way he structures his class.

Theres a lot of reading and quizzes, but he really made the class interesting and was a good teacher. Dont skip lectures because he explains the material very well and doesnt put notes online. The discussions really helped and he made me like the class and I feel like I learned a lot from him. The final project is a lot though.

Professor Hill is awesome!!! Prepare to take lots of notes, but he specifies the key concepts that need to be remembered. He doesnt have a study guide for tests but he does a review and as long as you pay attention and take notes it's great. Attendance is of course required as well.

SUPER anal in grading. Lots of notes, so don't miss class because he refuses to post online. Funny and knowledgeable, but just gives too much work for a 100 class. Lots of reading plays. Test are difficult and doesn't really give a study guide.
