Very good person. Somewhat of a tough grader, but she is actually smart and her discussions are at least somewhat interesting. Her tests are hard. Great person though.

Her lecture is hilarious, you should pay attention to what she said, so much humor. I have been taken 3 of her classes in GW. She is so nice and cared about her students. She is super knowledgeable. Highly recommended professor!

Very willing to help students but also expects students to come to class prepared and already having done alot of the translation and/or the homework. She's very enthusiastic about language and regularly shares interesting tid bits of knowledge with the class. Fair grader. You'll know exactly what to expect on tests and how to prepare for them.

She is a very nice and super professional teacher. So knowledgeable and funny. She cares about us a lot. My class is an upper level one so it is very hard. I should take some of her easy class.

I love Prof Fisher. She's funny and goes through the readings with you and gives you exactly what you need to know for the midterms and finals. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she usually talks about terms you need for the midterm/final so show up, but if you're absent, she's really helpful in getting you caught up on what you missed.

Professor Fisher is my favorite professor by far. She is incredibly smart, witty and interesting. Her class may be boring for some parts, but overall just great. Take her if you can, she is great.

It's hard to say. "Bittersweet" is the best word I can think of to sum this up. She's hard, she doesn't grade as fairly as other rates have said. Lots of readings, and the tests can be hard. She isn't always clear, which doesn't help if you're zoning out because she can be boring and flat. I'd recommend this for classics majors.

Fisher is funny; she teaches her coarse really well & if keep up with the assignments youll learn latin faster than any other language you might have taken before. I took French for 7 yrs & could hardly make a sentence; now, I'm almost fluent in latin. Class 3x a week gets really dry & each one has a mandatory assignment. Tests can be hard.

I absolutely love this woman. Take her if you can. She's helpful. Unlike other Latin classes she does teach via memmorization of charts [though you can do so if you like], rahter expects you to learn from context. This is perhaps a better way to learn a language then one first realizes. Her teaching style really appealed to me.

This class is fairly straightforward, but requires that you show up to lecture regularly AND read the textbook. There are no papers and only a midterm and final. Your attendance counts towards your grade. Fisher is VERY enthusiastic about the material and if you need a Humanities, I certainly reccomend this class.

She is very nice and helpful. Latin 4 is extremely dull so if you could care less about Aeneas and the rest of that mythological stuff, don't take this class. Stick to Latin 1 and 2!

The ideal professor. She is SO nice, makes it a habit to get to know everyone's names, keeps you interested, extremely knowledgable in the subject, doesn't play favorites, grades fairly, and is always available for help if need be. I don't know what else to say other than TAKE HER!!

Nice woman but make sure that you have an interest in Latin or the Classics. Otherwise she will become irritated with you. Grades depend on how much work your willing to do, as homework is collected very high-school-like. Again, make sure you have a sincere interest in the subject.

She is really cute and nice but sometimes boring and corny at times. Her class is really easy if you know something about classical mythology before you come into the class.

She's a bit eccentric, but a genuinely nice prof. The lectures can be a bit dry, but if you are even remotely interested in mythology, this course is wonderful. I would highly recommend it, as well as Dr. Fisher.

Her lectures aren't happy-fun time lectures, but she is one of the most genuinely nice professors you can find. Occasionally she'll even talk about broad, interesting issues not directly applicable to latin.
