she was a hard grader, we had quizzes every week that were pretty difficult. whenever you asked questions, she would respond with something like "refer to your book". so not too helpful when you are confused

I really loved this professor for CHEM 101. She was very helpful when we were having trouble with an experiment. We had different partners each week which was nice since you didn't get stuck with the same person the whole semester. The quizzes were really hard before each lab. I always got great grades on my lab even though she marked it all up.

Comment:

Overall Dr. Chinn is a nice woman but, I would never take her lab again. She is a VERY tough grader and is very picky when it comes to your answers. I have had points lost because of the wording of my sentences or on several occasions because the value i gave was not exact enough. Weekly quizzes were a thing and they were VERY tough as well.

Overall, I didn't find her lab class enjoyable whatsoever. She gets angry when you get confused with something and is a tough grader. She is somewhat humorous though and will help you when you're stuck sometimes. Yet, she expects you to know everything. As if I'm already a chemist.

Doesn't really care to help students. Gets annoyed when students don't understand. Wastes a lot of time lecturing through the packet we can read ourselves, then yells at us when time is running out and we're not done the lab yet.

Dr. Chinn is hilarious. She will help you on material prior to exams. However, if you ask for help in lab, do not expect much. She actually gets pretty angry when the students don't know what they're doing! Overall, she's a fun professor. You just have to keep your cool when she's yelling at you because you're clueless and don't know how to chem.

4.0 student ending up with 79.7% in this class. Won't help me raise it .3 to simply get a B. During lab was scary and would help find the answer but made you feel awful the whole time. Doesn't post grades online ever. No extra credit. She'll getcha.

I had Dr. Chinn for lab and she was great. She explained anything you needed explained and was very helpful. She's really funny, and makes class enjoyable. I would definitely take her again.

I have an A in my organic chemistry lecture, but in lab I have a B- because of her. Do not take this teacher if you want to be graded hard on your lab reports, have quizzes each week, or cry during lab. I will avoid having her for another class.

I really liked her for chem 101 lab, but she is a tough grader on lab reports. She lets you out of lab early most of the time, skips parts of the lab, and will help you if you stick around after lab. Overall, I recommend her.

Professor Chinn was awesome to have. Gives a small quiz at the beginning of each lab, that if you review your last lab real quick, you should get a good grade on. Helps you with questions if you stay after your done with the experiment otherwise she lets you leave early. Super nice, and helpful lady.

I had her for lab. She grades really harshly especially for an entry level chemistry lab. She does skip some parts of the lab though, which makes you get out early. She lets you leave once your done. She does kill you labs though and doesn't explain why. The quizzes are easy.

I had Dr.Chinn for lab. She is an easy teacher and always has a smile on her face. She doesn't like people who slack off so as long as you pay attention and attempt to work hard, it should be an easy grade. She usually let us out of lab early, but if you stay she will walk you through each question you have to answer.

Dr. Chinn was very helpful! She explained things very well if you didn't understand them. She went out of her way to make sure student succeeded. You also have to put in the effort and show here you care. Her office hours are VERY helpful! I strongly reccommend anyone to take her for lab. You won't regret it:)

I have her for lab right now and she is the most helpful person. If you go to her office hours and get to know her she will do everything in her power to help you succeed. she only teaches lab now so if you have the option to take her.. its in your best interest! i wish she taught lecture!

Dr. Chinn is a great teacher, I took her for lab both fall & spring semester for chem 101 & 102. She is really helpful and will go out of her way so you understand the material. The quizes at the begining of class arnt hard at all if you look over the lab befor you go to class even if only for 5 minutes, shes really great lab instrusctor, take her!

Dr. Chinn is alright. Very easy for lab. She gives you a full week to finish everything. I liked her.
