Comment:

Not a bad man ,but did not appreciate the attitude given about receiving accommodations by the SSC & being treated like I didnt know what I was doing/wasnt a good student b/c of my C+. I am studying to be an RN, knowing biology related stuffs important. That said, I reject the notion that getting below a B in class means you wont be a good RN.

Comment:

I took Dr. Dipino for microbiology and I thought he was fantastic! Microbiology is not really a super interesting class especially for nursing majors, but Dipino always tries to lighten up the class with lighthearted humor. Study well for the tests, as he often throws in diagrams for easy points. He is a good teacher and offers feedback for tests

If you plan on taking this professor, be prepared attend every single class. I was thinking about buying the book for this class and never did. He is extremely lecture heavy and his tests are near impossible to study for is you missed even one class. He is also a rambler but listen carefully because he adds details that are key to the test.

Comment:

Dr. Dipino was a really great professor and just a neat guy overall! He is super funny, and his lectures were always enjoyable and interesting. He doesn't require the use of a textbook, and his tests are based solely on what he lectures, so try not to miss class. The exams are difficult, but as long as you study and take good notes, you'll be ok.

dipino gives very hard exams. pulla things from way out of left field. note taking is essential for survival. overall a funny guy but dont expect him to know your name. powerpoints will have everything you need to pass but do be sure to read every single detail of every single slide even giant diagrams and tables. if its in the pp its fair game.

His class is solely lectures and nothing else, but he sure is witty & wants you to understand the material! There is no homework or textbook use. Don't skip out on note taking because that's all you'll have to study for the test. He also loves questions so don't be afraid to ask!! Tests are hard so be sure to study all your notes & lecture slides!

You think you like him and understand the material until he gives you a test. He words his questions in the most difficult way making it impossible to understand. By far the hardest class I have taken in college. Prepare to cry.

Took him for microbiology. TOUGH class. Great guy. Decent teacher. Belongs at a big university, based on his lecture style and the fact that he doesn't know anybody's names. He'll keep you entertained with his zany stories and witty/dry humor.

Comment:

Had Dipino for Bacteriology. His tests are pretty tough, the way he words things can be kind of strange but the material itself is tough and confusing as well so that also plays a factor. He is a really nice guy, sometimes pretty funny, and he always tries to make sure you understand the material. Lab definitely helps your final grade!

Horrible. I sat front row in his class and he doesn't even know my name. He's always late and unprepared. The tests are so hard, he teaches straight from powerpoint and puts stuff on the test that you've never even seen before. Lab is so confusing and he's way more interested in what he knows rather than how he should be teaching it. Awful.

Dr Dipino is an excellent professor.Uses great examples to assist in teaching and draws good visuals. Lazy people who expect everything handed to them on a silver platter(lazy complainers) will not succeed in his class you earn your grade. Great professor. Teaches everything he knows and stays on top of the current information. Cares about your education. Complainers don't get anywhere with him. Respect him and he will respect you. Will definitely enjoy having him again in the future.

Dr. Depino is a really good teacher. He is very smart and is very helpful if you have any questions. His test are difficult and can be tricky at times. You really have to study and take really good notes. He never uses the book in class and no one ever buys the book for his class. If you study your notes and read the power points you will do fine

Whoever wrote for the 11-12-03 comment is definitely wrong. I don't even know where that came from. Frank Dipino knows his stuff and he is extremely helpful with his totally awesome analogies. He just might be the niceest man in the world and after you take his class you will probably want him to be your neighbor or uncle.

He knows his stuff. He's brillant and has enough clinical background and experience to make the class interesting. Lab is challenging, but you come out very well prepared to work in a real lab. That's why wre bio majors, right? His tests are mainly essay and you NEED to know your notes. TAKE HIM!!

Dr. Dipino is a great teacher to have if you are one of his pets. if you did not do an internship at the janet wiese center with Dr. Carey and him, you aren't going to become much of anything in his eyes, or so thats how he makes you feel.
