I had the hardest time in his class. His tests were essay and they were terribly hard like i was in harvard. He was tough on grading favored other students I am caucasian. Thank god he is retiring Nice guy but the lectures were about his life and how much money he has.

He is wonderful! He does challenge his students. If you read the books you will be fine. He is funny,caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I am Caucasian & NEVER felt like I was treated differently. His classes will prepare you for life after the community college level. If you are looking for an easy class, I would not suggest. A+

Intentionally harder on Caucasian students. Randomly tested by having students right 4 essays (in class, no books/ notes). Discussed personal life inappropriately. Learned nothing about sociology or social work. Would like to point out this was my only non-A grade. Graduate from NYU with a 3.8 and have a Master's in Social Work. WORST CLASS EVER.

This professor at first seems cool BUT when it comes down to teaching he talks about irrevelant crap. If you only have one class your good because he will assign 500 + pages of pointless crap and pick 5 random test questions. He teaches the class like your trying to get your Masters which would be fine if we weren't at Cumberland!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Phillips was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. I heard rumors before taking his class that he was very discriminatory and harsh on white students, and I did not believe it. However, I took his class (I wasn't a full-time student at that college but actually at Rowan), and he was so dreadful AND ****.

real cool guy at first. only talks about his ex, and how his new wife is younger than his children. i know his whole family history unfortunatly. nothing due all semester. only at the end. fails people for no reason. actually, failed most of the class. no due dates, but just do everything early. really nice & cool at first. grade A jerk in the end

He seems nice at first but he's a fake. Mr. Phillips only looks out for #1. He will turn on you in an instant. We were meeting once in his office complex when CCC's VP entered. He broke his neck to get away from me so he could go kiss-up. Go figure . . . he's also too LOUD!
