Comment:

Generally a good professor with interesting lectures and relatively easy grading. Only complaint is that powerpoint presentations were not designed very well which lead them to be ineffective.

I absolutely loved this class, and would highly recommend. Definitely don't buy the textbook though, all of the quizzes and tests come from lecture material so as long as you're in class and pay attention you'll do great. His lectures were really engaging and you can tell he loves what he does, and wants you to love it too.

Comment:

Took this for honors requirements and it ended up being one of my favorite classes because of him. Funny and really invested in the material. He's really helpful when it comes to the honors project as well. Exams and quizzes are pretty easy. Attendance is definitely in your best interest.

Comment:

Weismer is a wonderful professor, and really brings the material to life. However, do NOT buy the $89 "textbook" that he requires. I read one chapter in the beginning and got an A on everything. Weismer's module is interesting and he is generous with extra credit on exams and quizzes. 4 quizzes, 2 exams total for his module.

This class was an interesting overview of communicative disorders, and Weismer did a great job of teaching it! He is extremely knowledgable and whenever I asked questions he always had interesting answers. The class itself isn't too hard but studying for the tests is definitely necessary to do well

Great lecturer, challenging class. Definitely one of the more difficult Com Dis courses. Tests have very general essay questions that really test your knowledge. I used the book quite a bit. 3 midterms, 1 cumulative final, 2 easy homeworks, 11 quizzes. Lots of opportunity for extra points.

My favorite professor in the Com Dis department by far. His quizzes and tests were definitely manageable. Overall, I learned a lot from him and he's pretty funny (at least I thought so).

This is a fun, interesting, and pretty easy class. He is very clear and fun to listen to. He is also very helpful with a review session and question session during class time before each of the 3 m.c. tests. The reading is very boring and long but somewhat helpful. Tests aren't bad as long as you go to class and study.

Great professor! I really enjoyed this class; everything was interesting to me. To get an A, just GO TO CLASS! You'll know what he thinks is important. Exams are not that hard. I started reading the book in the beginning, but then stopped because it's way more detailed then you need. Just use his outlines and you'll do fine.

I LOVE GARY! He is a funny little man. His lectures are really easy to understand and the course material and tests aren't difficult (50 m.c. tests) I liked that he didn't curve the class but did add on points to your test grade if 50%+ of the class got a question wrong. He gives up to 4 e.c. points - really easy to do. Great Class!

Weismer is a good guy. The class requires little work outside of class, that is until exams roll around. There are only three exams, and the questions can be tricky, but getting an A is more than obtainable. Do the extra credit, go to lecture, and you should do fine.

He sang to us during class! Very entertaining, funny professor. Really dedicated to making sure we know the material rather than cramming information down our throats. Not too bad on the eyes either for an older guy. Made my major choice easier!

Weismer is an awesome professor. His lectures are entertaining and interesting. If you come to class you can't get worse than a C. His tests are all multiple choice and he gives two review lectures before each test. Awesome guy!
