At first, I thought he was the scariest and rudest professor ever. But that was just his sense of humor! I saw many students drop out in the first week or two, and I wanted to also. But I am glad I stayed! He is one of the best professors I have ever had!!!

Comment:

I took as many classes from him as I possibly could! He was, without a doubt, my favorite professor at Davis. Although the last class I had with him was in the year I graduated (1990), his seminar is still memorable. If you ever read this, Geoffery, know that you had quite an impact.

The guy has a name like a butler and a dog named Churchill. How can you not like him? His class was easy (as if there is a difficult pol sci class)and informative. It is pretty funny and entertaining to watch him berate late students and make comments on lame responses in class.

I took this class a few years ago (and two of his other classes), Professor was very helpful if you go to his office hours. He comes across as real tough and rude, but he's actually an excellent professor. He means no harm and really wants you to learn.

Geoff is a character, and is also very intelligent. His lectures were never dry, and he integrates the web into learning and research techniques. He is politically biased, and doesn't tolerate much. Not afraid to tell you that you are wrong.

Strict; does not tolerate tardiness or excuses, will sass you if you come in late. Lectures are clear and informative, what is expected of you is explicitly defined and always online-which is helpful; not biased in my opinion, integrates technology well.
