Could not understand the issue people had with her. She doesn't assign a textbook, just interesting history novels with plenty of time to read them. Her tests are basic if you paid any kind of attention in her lectures. She tried to be accommodating. Those that complained seemed to want to do absolutely 0 work. It was embarrassing.

Dr. Baggett is a fantastic professor if you follow her lectures and make sure to take the material seriously. She is not going to be an easy going, approachable professor, but more of a "get to the point" professor. She is an incredibly tough grader and you must work hard to get an A in this class, which ends up being rewarding in the long run.

For an online 100 level history class she expects you to treat it like a 500 level class. The amount of content put into the tests is more than I have in any other class I have had. She does not take your concerns or questions about the class into consideration and she does not reply to emails for at least a week. Don't waste your time or money.

Her tests are extremely difficult, If there is ever any multiple choice there will only be 10 of them, everything else is essay. You better write fast because she talks very fast and her slides only have a few words. You have to write down what she is actually saying. Her extra credit option is ridiculous because history events are hard to find.

I personally liked Baggett and her teaching style. With that being said, her tests are very difficult and don't match up well with what she teaches. Take the essay tests not the multiple choice!!! Also, read the books! Tough class but she does offer some extra credit.

Don't do it. We had to read like 4 long chapter books and take 10 question multiple choice tests over them. Sounds easy right? No. Literally one of the questions asked for the characters birthday. Did I mention they were worth 100 points? Her powerpoints only have 5 words on them so you better listen. Good luck.

The lecture exams are mainly based off the oral notes she says and adds rather than the minimal informative power points. She does give the essay questions a week before the test. There are extremely hard and specific book exams that are hard to pass with only 10 questions each worth as much as an exam. The GA is who does most of the contacting.

Holly seems like a great person and definitely knows what shes talking about! But the power points she gives us to study only has 5 words on it without definitions. We also were made to read like 4 long chapter books, which is a lot while youre trying to focus on other classes as well. Most of the class has Ds or Fs. Very tough grader.

I have always been good at history until taking this class. She uses power points with 10 or less words on them, so if you go back to study using those power points, you better know what those words mean. She is very lecture heavy, and says a lot of the information out loud, so you need to be a fast writer/typer. Not an easy class at all.

I am a straight A student. I had never gotten a C on a test before until she graded my first essay. I got A's on her multiple choice tests, but when my grade was up to her that's what I got after hours of studying. She is very rude and if you have a question or concern don't even bother emailing her.

This is a senior seminar class you need to graduate. What I dislike about Dr. Baggett is her feminist attitude. If you don't like her forced topic your in the dog house. She gives you four quizzes over the most bland material about history writing worth 200 points in total and your final paper has to be about "gender history". Its disgusting.

Dr. Baggett is one of my favorite professors at MSU. Ive had her for a few history classes and I will say she grades on the tough side but she gives you the exact questions that will be on the test! All you have to do is study. Also, shes hilarious and will just chat with the class casually towards the end every once in a while.

Baggett was a great teacher if you cared about your grade. She gives you all the essay questions a week before the exam, it's just all the questions were filled with information. Only four tests for the grade. Everything you put in, you will get out.

This class was absolutely awful. She does not take attendance but you MUST go to class in order to get a decent grade. She lectures the entire class and uses PowerPoints to do so. She will give you PowerPoint but she adds lots of info. 4 essay based tests that are really hard and she is a TOUGH grader. You have to work for your grade in this class

The class isn't easy and she grades tough because she wants to know the information. Her lectures were heavy, she used power point slides that she posted online, but the info she said out loud during the lecture was the most important. If you study and ask questions, you'll get a good grade. I used her office hours & also the Bear Claw to get an A

This class was only lecture, 3 tests and the final. There was one test about the book she had us read for the class (with no mention of it before the week of the test). She's a hard grader and it is difficult to even read her handwriting on the tests of what little feedback you do get. Her lectures are hard to listen to. TIP: be a fast typer/writer
