Comment:
Professor Tworzecki is passionate and extremely knowledgable. The final grade is based on very few grades and relies heavily on exams, so make sure you study. His tests are directly from his powerpoint presentations which he thankfully posts online for students, but it is still a lot of information to memorize. Still, I highly recommend him!

I loved Dr. Tworzecki! The class was organized in such a clear and coherent way, both within and between lectures. He knew what he was talking about and cared about the subject. He can sometimes drift off and lose focus but it's more entertaining than distracting. Only a few exams however, so you have to study hard and do well for them to succeed.

Tworzecki is a gem. I have had him for two classes so far and he is so genuine and caring. His tests are not meant to trick you, straight from powerpoint slides and readings, exactly what we discussed in class. his powerpoint slides themselves are amazing: they explain topics clearly and more succinctly than any textbook could. also v understanding

This class was just lectures, graded by 3 tests and participation. Attendance is somewhat mandatory, but not serious. It was a fine class, this professor was a bit dry and just read off the slides, but it was clear what we needed to know for tests.

I was in a unique position and took Professor Tworzecki in a small, upper level class. He asked what we were personally interested in and incorporated it into what we were learning. So friendly, available outside class, and lots of opportunities to re-do work for credit. Plus an incredible scholar and his take on political parties is very cool.

His lectures are sometimes a bit dry, but they're short for Pols120. He knows a lot outside the curriculum and brings this into the lectures which keeps things interesting. I don't think anyone opened their textbooks, easy A. Just know the slides, the tests are directly from those.

An amazing person but truthfully the other reviews aren't as honest as I would've liked. it sounds easy, "memorize the power points" this is not the case. Yes, if you memorize them you will get an A. However, each powerpoint is up to 13 pages of tiny font information. I thought it'd be SO easy to memorize, it really in not. Requires so much time.

Just show up to class and you'll be fine. The tests are straight from the powerpoints that he puts online. Study those and it's an easy class. He's an amazing professor who'll help you out if you take the time to see him in office hours. Lectures were engaging.

Lectures are solely from powerpoints but very in-depth as every slide contained a book worth of information. Lectures were not helpful.

Class is easy if you diligently study the lecture slides before every exam and review the assigned readings. Most people skip the lectures, but I recommend going to them because he often highlights important material that will appear in test essay questions.

I try my best to pay attention in class but its so hard. Hes a great guy, idk what it is, the class is just not engaging. With that being said, im premed and was just looking for an easy A. This class is definitely that. Study from the slides, forget the txtbook, do the readings, absorb all the info and the exams are a piece of cake.

Tests consisted solely of regurgitating the powerpoints in class (which are posted ahead of each class on blackboard). Reading the textbook is unnecessary, just memorize the powerpoints. Lectures were literally him reading off the slides very slowly (which consist of large paragraphs) and rambling. Would not recommend class but it was super easy.

Extremely easy class. I think both the positives of previous reviews and negatives of negative reviews are true. Incredibly nice and helpful, but his lectures are way too scattered. Mostly just rambles. Literally study the powerpoints, but come to class. Take for the easiness. Stay because he's nice.

Horrendous professor. While it didn't help that it was a 9am MWF, he just talks non-stop at you. He uses powerpoint slides that are essentially small novels on each slide. He speaks quietly and is hard to understand because he has a pretty thick accent. Don't take a boring professor, especially early in the AM.

Is very passionate about the material and provides real-world examples rather than leaving it up to abstractions. It was disappointing that he ran out of time to teach some of the more interesting case studies. An easy grader, the TAs are super helpful. The readings are not necessary to pass - just look through his lecture slides and you're set!

This professor is one of the most boring ones I have ever had. His lecture slides are all text and he just drones on in unbearable monotone. His exams are only out of 40 points, so even if you only get two questions wrong, you're screwed. All of this combined with the fact that it was a 9am MWF made this class quite a miserable experience.

Very nice guy. The entire class is him just reading the powerpoints. Basically no homework. Just show up and study the night before the test and you will do fine.

He is very knowledgeable about his topics, if a bit dispassionate. The syllabus had to be revised multiple times, but that was due to circumstances outside of his control. His tests were easier than expected. His explanations were thorough enough, though his answers to follow-up questions left much to be desired. Would highly recommend.
