Fantastic lecturer, extremely kind person, and very available to offer students advice and help on anything. But, he is a very tough grader, so expect to write multiple drafts before getting something you can submit and get a good grade for. Getting an A is fairly difficult even for students who are junior or senior English majors.

Before I took this class, I never would've believed that I could be this interested in Old English. Prof Morey really made it enjoyable. He was so knowledgeable and I was a little intimated at first, but he is also so accessible and very kind! The tests were tough and we had papers due every week, but I learned so much.

Morey is hands down the best professor at Emory. He is friendly and caring towards all of his students. There is a lot of reading, but he makes lectures very interesting and worth going to. A typical week is reading a book, discussing in class, and reviewing written work. He really cares about helping to improve your writing and your future success

Professor Morey is a very friendly and easy going guy who has immense knowledge on Medieval literature, English or otherwise. As a result, his lectures are engaging and supremely informative (the best part is that he shares some crazy theories that are actually plausible). Essays for the course are difficult, although the easy tests compensate.

Morey's ability with technology is consistent with his field of expertise medieval literature. He invites his class to his home at the end of the semester, so that's nice. Would recommend

The person who gave him a red pepper either has daddy issues or is a troll. Dr. Morey is in his 50s. First day of class, I went from ;-) to :- so fast. HAVING SAID THAT, Morey is my favorite prof hands-down. Love his lectures (his 9 am is worth it) and a general BAMF in his subject. Loves to go off tangent, especially about his research.

He's a great lecturer and knows more than encyclopedias on certain topics. As a rule, his tests ask for obscure information (publication dates mentioned once in lecture) rather than focusing on the literature. This questionable method of evaluation is overshadowed by his adept lecturing ability.

Professor Morey is one of my favorite professors here at Emory. Lectures are engaging and funny. His passion for medieval lit is inspiring. He's so easy to talk to and eager to get to know students if you come to office hours. He makes you WORK for the grade but it's made me such a better writer. Taking another of his classes next semester!

I've heard that he's a great medieval literature teacher but DO NOT TAKE HIS POETRY CLASS! He is not cut out to teach poetry. His grading is actually impossible no matter how well you did in previous English classes. He is very nit-picky with grading. I think everyone in the class got Bs and Cs. He gives a lot of feedback but it's not helpful.

The best professor I've ever had in my life. He is an actor and will really engage you in EVERY class. I honestly look forward to going to lecture to see my readings come to life. Highly recommend that you take him. Essay- intensive, grading depends on T.A. Class moves pretty fast so you have to read every night or you will be behind. Middle Eng.

I love Professor Morey! He is the reason that I'm so interested in Medieval literature. He is very passionate about Chaucer and is willing to help. He is, however, a really tough grader. Taking his class was COMPLETELY worth it, and I'm taking two more classes by him next semester.

Great teacher. Helped improve my writing incredibly, and will certainly be willing to help you out revising and shaping your papers in office hours. Class was entirely predicated upon papers for us. He made the subject, Middle English, incredibly interesting even for those who hadn't been interested prior.

I cannot even begin to explain how much taking his classes have helped me later on. My writing improved drastically. Plus he is totally adorable, in that academic nerdy way, which is the best kind of adorable. Go to his office hours, he is fun to talk to one-on-one as well.
