Merwin is awesome. he is so willing to help students, and is very flexible in terms of deadlines and due dates. He obviously really loves teaching and is very knowledgeable. I'm sad to be out of classes to take with him!

He presents the data clearly. THe use of the powerpoints and photos makes concepts more tangible. He gives you print-outs of the slides and brings FOOD to EVERY class.

Great professor, great class! The lectures are interesting and the labs are field trips. Professor Merwin is pretty easygoing. Hort 101 isn't an "easy A" but it's not heinously difficult either.

Loves apples and wines, pomology in general. Great man. Feels the land; down to earth. Loved the class. Easily apporachable and knows what he's talking about, but doesn't seem vain.
