He is a great teacher who tends to have a lot of energy and is passionate about teaching econ and tries his best to get everyone to understand it. I had such a great time that if I could I would've had him for econ 2. His tests are challenging but he does a great job trying to get you to understand the subject.

I took both Econ 1 and Econ 2 with Wegman. His class was fast paced so you have to be ready for that. He knows a lot about the topics he talks about which makes the class easier to grasp. There a couple tests in his class. They are all worth a big chunk of the overall grade so you have to do well on them.

Mr. Wegman was a tough grader, but at the same time he was very understanding of our weird circumstances this spring semester. I loved the positive vibes that he brought to class every day. Econ was probably my hardest class last semester, but Wegman made it fun and interesting.

This was an easy class for me. I had to do a lot of learning by myself out of the classroom. Mr. Wegman wont go over all the tested material in class and his tests have material that comes directly from the back of the textbook. You have to be independent and study smart to succeed in this class.

I took Econ 1 online with Wegman last semester. I really liked the class and he created a very positive learning environment. The tests were very difficult and required a lot of studying. I knew that this was going to be a hard class, but at least Wegman made it enjoyable. I am going to take Econ 2 with him this fall.

Wegman is probably the best Economics professor at the SRJC. His years of experience in the classroom makes him a fair and good instructor. We were expected to read the textbook (shocker!) outside of class and he taught the class as if we did. The tests also had questions from the textbook that were never talked about during class.

Wegman was a strict and fair teacher. You get exactly what you put into it. The tests were difficult and required lots of time devoted to studying. Dont take this class if youre not serious about economics.

I took econ with Mr. Wegman last semester and I thought that he was awesome. He is a very cheerful guy and will not hesitate to help students during class. In order to be successful in the class, I heavily relied on studying my notes and going to his office hours.

Professor Wegman is a genius, hands down. This class was not easy by any stretch of the imagination. However, if you go to class and read the textbook the class will start to make sense over time. The exams heavily covered materials that were never taught in class. You have to read the textbook and learn large portions of the class by yourself.

Macroeconomics with Wegman required work. I put in several hours a day in his class in order to learn and master the concepts. He's a very smart guy and Id highly recommend him. Hope to take him again soon.

I am a business major and I thought that this was a very hard class. The tests covered material that did not come from lecture. Lecture only taught us how to do graphical things such as supply/demand graphs. The main portion of the test material came from reading the textbook and playing his powerpoints. The tests were not easy to say the least

Wegman was a great econ teacher. He covers important topics in depth in class and expects us to read the textbook outside of class. If you read the textbook and do the practice test, getting an A in the class should not be a problem. I never got below a 95 percent on a test. The tests were a huge part of the grade.

I also don't understand why this professor is so revered. He frequently pulls talking points out of the Economist (a newspaper) and tries to pass them off as his own. He does not provide adequate preparation via his lectures for tests and quizzes and has a generally jaded outlook on teaching. He's banking on his reputation from years ago. Avoid

Wegman is a funny and nice guy but his teaching Method is terrible. Lectures are easy and repetitive, but when it comes to the test its a whole different story. He states if you can do well on the practice test you can past his text but most of the stuff on the main test arent on the practice test. He also doesnt give a lot of time on the test .

I took Wegman for Econ 1 and Econ 2. Good sense of humor. Great lectures. Expect to work for the grade. I'm now an applied math/econ major at UCSD. I feel completely prepared for my classes.

Don't take his class unless you're an economics major. Hardly any homework so your grade is only based on tests, but his lectures aren't clear so don't take this class unless you're good at tests and teaching yourself. Theres hardly any good econ teachers at the JC but if you have to take it take it with Conley, she's amazing.

Don't take this class unless you're an economics major. Great lectures but repeated himself a lot and crammed information before exams. Grade is only tests and a few short quizzes, so don't take this if you're not good at taking tests. His lectures were inspirational but his grading scale made it impossible to do well in the class.

If you get the opportunity to do one thing in your life. ONE THING...... take this class. It will change you. It will slap you in the face and make you think "what is my purpose on this earth?" There is not a single instructor on campus that cares about his students more. Period. You will walk out of every lecture ready for wherever life takes you

I took Wegman for Econ 1 and 2. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had. You learn more in his class than you could possibly imagine. He is so passionate about Economics and it is shown through his lectures. He makes learning fun and interesting. However he also makes you work for your grade so be ready to study many hours a week. Amazing guy

Professor Wegman was a phenomenal teacher. He genuinely cares about economics along with his students and their futures. The class is probably the single most difficult class I have taken at the JC. You have to show up every single class and read through the textbook if you want an A/B, less for a C. Grade consists of 3 tests and 4 short quizzes.
