Mr. Oliver was a good teacher. He did sway away from the class work from time to time but he tried to tie it to the lessons. I never earned anything less than an A. Sorry to hear he passed away. He was a fine man and teacher.

Dr. Oliver was a pretty cool teacher. He always tries to spark a discussion and is a good judge of character. He can see potential and always seemed to challenge me to live up to it. He based his tests on the book so if you read you'll be fine. I put forth minimal effort and got a B so it is very likely that anyone can get an A.

Dr. Oliver is a really nice old man. He goes off topic at times but I did learn alot in both 131 and 253. You have reading quizes and unit exams but they are all easy, just read your chpt. summaries and you'll be just fine.

Mr.Oliver is a horrible teacher. He goes off subject. He does not teach the material. The stuff on the test is nothing he taught. Complete waste of time. His class is a teach yourself kind of class. I paid money to take this class, to be taught and he didn't do that. Do not take him. You will regret it.

WAIT, YES HE IS OLD BUT HE IS SO LOVABLE. HE STILL TEACHES BECAUSE HIS WIFE HAS PASSED AND HE HAS NOTHING TO DO. LOVES HIS JOB AND IS A GENIUS. Dr. Oliver is great! He will push you to read the text and keep up on homework, but as a result you will do great in the class. He is a great person and really cares for his students. His life experiences are very interesting! This man definately knows what he's talking about. I would recommend him to anyone.

Overall, good class.. he likes to lecture a lot. As long as you like reading the entire text, you will do fine in his class. Easy to pass, just make sure you read before tests
