Hands down one of my favorite professors... ever. He doesn't make you buy a textbook. He teaches in a way that makes it very easy to understand. Questions on test are right from the notes, almost word from word. Would definitely take again.

Professor Vansteeter is an overall good person. Geography is kind of a boring subject and he didn't thoroughly explain the stuff we went over. Some questions on his quizzes and exams were tricky. You have to understand what he teaches in order to get those questions right. If you ask him to re-explain a topic he'll teach it the same way twice

One of my favorite classes! It really teaches a lot of cool things related to weather & environment. He really cares about his students & their performance, so don't be afraid to ask for help. There's also a study guide for extra credit! Book is helpful, but his notes are what you'll be tested on. He takes notes every lecture, so try not to skip!

Van Steeter loves what he does. Classes are usually just discussion between him and students. Everything on exams are directly from the notes he gives you. Show up, turn in the work on time, easy good grade.

Nice guy but wish his lectures and study guides were more organized. It was hard for me to determine what part of the study guide was for each test. Tests were so long and there was too much notes and detail to study and memorize that you never really new if you had studied enough or not. I wish i didn't take this class.

He is the best professor I've ever had. He truly cares about teaching and assuring that his students are understanding. He insists on students asking questions, it could be on ANYTHING. You need to attend every class considering his tests are based off of the notes he gives to you during that class. Extra credit is easy and he gives you feedback.

Mark is definitely my favorite professor I've ever had out of my three years in college. He makes class so fun and interesting. Be in class every day because he makes his tests off of notes. You don't even need the textbook at all. He cares a lot about his students passing, so use his office hours. If you have a choice, take his class!!!

Don't take to fill credit hour!!! He'll explain things very simple when asked but when teaching he can confuse you easily with over-simplification. Expect articles to be long and huge, midterm and final are extremely difficult and hard to pass from readings alone. Your 10min presentation & paper may be your only pass. Nice guy, loves his work.
