He is the worst professor i have ever had, he goes out of his way to be cold hearted . He talks down to you and be littles your work, EVERYTHING is cliche and expects us to come up with ground breaking poems all the time or you will not receive credit. he's a mean old man to everyone in class. i don't know why he teaches.

He loves to talk philosophical but has nothing to do with the assignments. He also loves/focus on grammar and sentence structure. Be sure to read the readings even if there no assignment because he gives quizzes once he knows people don't read, and the questions are tricky if you don't read. Ex: AJ killed who? The answer is he didn't kill anyone.

I felt like this class was a waste of time. I worked so hard but still got a bad grade. He does not care about his students at all. There's a reading response every week and so many papers. NO FEEDBACKS. he grades credit or no credit at all if you don't meet the requirements. He's weird and old.

This teacher is the worst. Doesnt help you at all. Always thinks hes right even when he isnt. He asks you for your opinion then he contradicts it. He proves all your ideas you think arent right, he thinks he is the one whos always right. Has a bad ego.

A really tough grader. Gives you pop quizzes so make sure you read. Try not to be late, he gets annoyed easily. Assigns you three essays and makes your PRESENT them. Doesnt help you at all and his work can be confusing. He doesnt let anyone say bless you when someone sneezes because he thinks its offensive. I would never take this class again.

He is a tough grader. You are struggling with grammar and sentence structures get additional help he takes off a lot of points for that. When he gives you something to read make sure you read it because he always gives surprise pop quizzes based on the readings but they are not too hard. I thought this class would be an easy A, but turns out creative writing isn't what I thought it would be. There is nothing creative about it because everything you write is cliche or not enough. However taking this class was fun, he is really passionate about literature, which I really appreciated.

I would rather stick pins in my eyes than to take this course again. Words cannot explain my hate. He was a really uptight teacher; I would do an assignment and he would not give me credit because of stupid little things, and if you wanted to see what he wrote on the feedback It was impossible because he has the hand writing of a five year old.

I would not recommend this class to anyone. His lectures dont correspond with the work he gives properly. He doesnt go into detail with how he wants homework or papers given. He also makes his students present their essays.

As long as you do the work and follow his instructions you're fine; for me he was the easiest class I took that semester, the problem is that most people in the class don't put enough effort or show insterest in the class and those people are the ones to come here and type bad reviews. This is college and nobody is gonna baby you, do your work!

As long as you put in the work he will give amazing advice on how to fix it. He is very caring and genuinely seem to want to help his students. He gives very clear feedback on whats expected on formal papers, critiques, and exercises. I would not expect an easy A. You have to earn it.

He gets a bad wrap. In my opinion he really cares that his students do well. He loves writing, so be prepared to write. Readings before every class, if u read u do well. With readings come responses that he collects and reads. 2 papers and a lot of reading responses but overall, he was a great professor to me and I came out knowing that I learned

You go into midterm period not knowing where you stand with your grades. This class is not a creative writing class cause you cant be creative- cant say this cant writ that! Wont acknowledge completed work unless it meets his exact specifications and wont give credit for work not meeting his criteria. Extremely critical. Dont go late to class

I took his course disregarding what I read on here. I like English, so I figure everything will be cool. His advice is vague, he wants everything done to the exact point. If you don't do the work exact you wont get credit. Lots of assignments. He expects you to get it right away. He thinks his class is the only one that exists. 0 consideration.

If you are going into English Writing as a profession and you want to specifically work in poetry. This is the guy you want to take. He is critical, a little condescending , but brutally honest. He challenges you and your work. His poetry manuscript was 12 poems and a 1,500 word paper. Roughly handed in 80 pages. But the mentor-ship was worth it

Heard he was strict so I avoided him until my friend asked me to take him with him, but wished I took him sooner. He is passionate about teaching but also wants you to learn as well. Definitely have to work for your grade, but its an accomplishment in the end. Wish I could take him for my last semester but he won't be teaching. Great professor

He is very unclear about what he expects for the assignments. He will give you no credit on your assignment without even explaining why you got no credit . He doesn't take extra credit . Class attendance is mandatory!!!
