This class was writing intensive, so we were assigned weekly logs and 3 essays. Attendance is mandatory, since class met only once a week. The professor is NOT boring! He is somewhat funny and cool. He likes to talk a lot, he didn't write much on the black board, and he didn't use the actual blackboard site either. Read, write well, and get an A.

This professor is just plain up boring. He does not let the class out early. His lectures very, very long. There are 3 essays and weekly log. His final consists of 4 essays, approximately a page each.

Three easy papers. Do not skip class if you want to pass. You will need to read the portions of the books he assigns to do the weekly logs, which are easy. The final simple. He drones on a lot, but the class was okay.

I won't lie. When I saw that he was a "old" professor, I expected to be bored the whole semester. But surprisingly, Professor Hux was not boring. He is a really interesting professor. The way he incorporates his own ideas into his teaching, with a good combination of humor and seriousness, resulted in an amazing learning experience. Take him!

His class is fun if you enjoy movie nights. I don't know how he teaches other courses, but Shakespeare with him is all movies. He gives 3 papers and they are a breeze if you write well, which you should, if you're taking a 300 level course ;-) He's a character and makes you laugh.. Hux is Hux.

Although his classes are entertaining I feel his grading policy sucks! If you're good at quizzes then take him but I prefer writing papers in English classes. The grade was made up of 60% quizzes and 40% final. -_-

The key to this class: READ EVERYTHING HE TELLS YOU TO!!! You will be given weekly quizzes on reading assignments (which account toward your grade) and it makes it easier for you to comlete your assignments. Also, you WILL NOT pass the final if you don't do the reading assignments. Other than that, he's a great professor.

He was by far one of the worst professors I've had in my two year college experience. He's not very clear on what he expects from his papers and his final did not really follow what he taught in class. He is very knowlegeable but a har grader and doesn't give half grades and on one of my papers he gave me a B/C grade?????

Itook this prof. for CDLV210 in spring 10. I was never absent from his class . He did'nt prepare the class for the final exam regarding part one. When the semester began he tells you the reading in the text was bakground information.One week before final he tells you 20questions from it is on partone of the final. Very misleading. Prof. Hux is one of the best I instructors I had back at York College. He has made me a far better writer. He taught me 9 years ago, and I still remember all that has gone in the class. Clearly, one of the best York has.

Prof Hux is a funny guy. His assignments are fair. His final is open-book and tells you what is expected. He doesn't show videos in class! I had him in spring 08. He read the comments left in ratemyprofessor. He said "since when did I show videos in class? I don't do that... sorry!" Just do what he tells you and you will be fine.
