Comment:

I was his TA and actually wished I was a student. He made the class fun and everybody learned. Definitely knows his stuff. He is the type of professor I'd like to be. Don't be fooled by the free flow of the class though. You will definitely have to buckle up for test time.

Comment:

Tomlin is a great professor. He made the assingments clear and interesting. This is a workshop class with short lectures. Tomlin is always available to answer questions. His test are very detailed, but you get 10min of open book/notes at the end of each test. With a little studying you can get an A. GREAT CLASS!

Comment:

The class was interesting and Dr. Tomlin is very qualified to teach this class. Make sure you buy the text, it helps to further explain the topics in class and aides in studying for midterm and final. Also project is very easy A. Tests are a bit difficult if you do not study, but if you do you should not have any problem. I would take him again.

Dr. Tomlin is a great guy and a good teacher. It seems like we jump around a lot in this class, but we do learn a lot. The tests and activities are not too difficult and he is very willing to help you learn. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Tomlin was supposed to teach us on food but we've seemed to learn more about Chemistry and Photosynthesis and other things than metablolism, diet, bacteria in food etc. I would not recommend him for any student except chemistry. He's good for that.

Class is rather boring, but then to anyone but chemists, chemistry is boring! Seems like he goes over and over and over things, instead of moving along and letting all those bozos who sleep in class catch up on their own time!
