Jane Heenan is Sociology! She's extremely insightful. If i had the chance to take any other class with her i would, they are worth it! If you like talking about philosophical topics and getting deep into controversial issues this is for you! You will come out of her class with so much when you went in.

This class is amazing! Be prepared to talk about race, religion, sexuality, food crops, politics, anything. It is intense if you participate. When people speak their truth, it gives others the opportunity to learn tolerence. Don't miss the chance to experience Jane's class!

She swear a lot, she preaches about inappropriate, controversial subjects, she's rude,she's often late, and she does a whole speech about how she used to be a man and had a vaginoplasty surgery; and then has the nerve to ask us all to write a reaction paper about it! Be prepared for sometimes heated, but completely insightful discussions. No tests, just essay assignments. Be prepared to answer your assigned question, although you may not be called on. You will get out of her class what you put into it. Many don't care for the relaxed nature of the course, and many take advantage of it. I LOVED the class.

Prof. Hennan is amazing. She is sweet charming and funny. She is open to others ideas and thoughts about the concepts we go over in class. She makes you thing about sociology in a broader way the most sociology prof. I've heard about. I totally recomend her class. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Jane is inspiration to anyone. She really is involved in the subject, and makes you want to be. The discussions are fun without reading the book, but if you do, or at least skim through it, your opinion will be much better focused and just improve the quality of fun with Jane! She respects your opinion no matter what, she is the strongest and smart
