The only reason this man is employed is because its a cheaper alternative to a Baylor required class. 2 primary mcc professors for this class. Both have terrible reputations.

This class isn't impossible like some of the reviews suggest but you do have to work for it. I took the mini-mester and got an A. Remember it's 16 weeks of material in less than three weeks, so you should be spending at least 30 hours a week on this class. If not, I can understand why students think it's impossible. Grading criteria is very clear.

Professor Taylor is a very poor teacher. It was an online class, but it was all book reading and recalling specific details from hundreds of pages per week. He has things due at various times (1:00, 12:30, 3:00, 10:30, etc.). Worst of all, today was our final and he has yet to put in a single grade. Avoid at all costs.

Comment:
The class is very doable, especially when taking it in a minimester. There is a lot of reading associated with it, but it is like any other class you take. I personally enjoyed the challenge and respect Professor Taylor. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and loves to give his students more insight about each thing you study. Take him!!

I took this online thinking it would be easier through community college. We were basically told at the beginning that even if we did all of the work, we would be lucky to make a C. I thought he was kidding but he definitely wasnt. Lots of reading and quiz questions are very specific. Dont take unless your self esteem and GPA can take a hit.

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. I AM WARNING YOU. Especially if you despise reading like I do. He is an older guy who lives out of state who doesn't seem to care very much. If you are taking this class to get it out of the way before Baylor then just WAIT for Baylor or take a different professor.

Took this class online and I WILL NEVER TAKE A CLASS BY HIM AGAIN. He is unwilling to help you if the quiz software shuts down and you aren't able to finish a quiz. He is a sterotypical doctor, who thinks he is above helping students. Do not suggest/recommend taking him at all! TRUST ME. This class was pure hell and his attitude is very negative.

Internet Class Christian History/Thought. High amt of reading, uses 3 books to teach from. You read most of every book. Very organized. Written schedule, so you know when you have to complete assignments. Always helpful, answered emails. Email discussions with class was interesting. Tests short, require careful reading of material to do well.

This guy teaches Religion 1617. He is a major A$$hole. There are 3 books he requires you to purchase and the reading is so over the top, by the time you get to the end of your reading assignments, you have literally forgotten everything you have read. I am a great student with a 3.8GPA, I'm not BS'ing. DO NOT TAKE HIM AT ALL!!

Subject matter great. Assignments & readings were interesting. Prof not available for weeks at a time on internet class. Unfair evaluation of some assignments. Many students didn't understand the assignment. TAKE THIS IN PERSON NOT ON THE INTERNET

I am nearing the end of an internet Christian Thought class with Mr. Taylor. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ON THE INTERNET! He has ZERO notes for internet classes, tests that don't go along with all 3 books, and he rarely responds to emails. I'm a Christian and looked forward to learning. Probably a nice guy but not helpful!

I took him online in a minimester. that is a very bad idea!!!He is by far 1 of the worst teachers ever!!! In that minimester we had to read 3 books(one was 600pgs the other were 300pgs each), disscusion boards,20quizzes, 2projects,a worship project, final essay(which he posted online super late w/not enough time to complete!!) HORRIBLE DONT TAKE!!!

I bombed the first couple of tests, but worked my butt off the rest of the way to get a B. He has essay questions on every test so study those hard, but don't forget to study the rest of the material. I failed first 2 tests b/c on 1st one I didn't study for essay.. 2nd one I didn't study for regular questions. Good guy though, w/ some humor too.

Great teacher. He lectures a lot, but if you take good notes and study the terms he hands out to define on the syllabus you will do fine. It took some studying, but I made an A in the class. If you want to learn a thing or two, take Dr. Taylor.

got an a in his class - though you need to read all the assignments. the class i took wasn't history, but philosophy ~ if you COME TO CLASS and PAY ATTENTION and take GOOD NOTES you'll do fine. essay on every test - you can take an optional 4th test and he drops the lowest score.

Good class. I never read the book--just copied down the notes he put on the overhead and payed attention. He explained things in a way that stuck in my memory. Essay questions on every test. I got an A. FYI, he was listed as "Staff" in the cours
