Cleaves is the only teacher I have had that was truly, genuinely concerned that the students learned the subject. He held extra review sessions before tests, and would answer each question fully. He's a great (and hot) teacher!

Easist class ever. Took it P/NP and got an A+. He's really nice and understanding. Just as long as you turn in your homework go to section and take good notes your fine. Tests were really easy, open notes and I didn't use them till the final.

one of the best professors...cares a lot about students and is very helpful in office hours...lectures are interesting...he's a fun guy...class was not too hard, but you still have to study.

I thought that this class was going to be hard but it was so easy. I hardly ever attended lecture and when I did it was just to see Prof. Cleaves cause he's a hottie. I still wound up getting an A- in the class even though I took it P/NP. Midterms and final were open notes. Definitely recommend.

Although I didn't know it at the time (this was my first quarter) Prof Cleaves was one the best and most caring professor I have had at this school. His first midterm was had a perfect curve. Second was ridicuously long, and the final was easy, but reflected the material well.

Poor guy...he's a great person, but doesn't teach very well. I wouldn't take him for a more advanced class. He doesn't go in depth b/c writes uses the chalk board and overheads instead of using a powerpoint presentation w/ other stuff. He's superhelpful during office hours.

dr. cleaves is a good guy but he can't teach very well. he's very unclear during the lectures and he's not very organized with his notes. he mumbles alot and you dont get alot by his lectures.

Professor Cleaves is a really nice guy. He cares if students understand the material and tries to make class interesting. His lectures are clear and he follows the text. The midterms are easy if you do the homework and fully understand it. Overall, highly recommended professor and course.

Although prepared, Prof. Cleaves isn't very clear or articulate during his lectures. He mumbles alot and students can barely hear him. I sit in the front rows, (1-3) and I STILL don't know what he's saying sometimes.
