Comment:
Only Prof for IDH1041 so really the only option not to take her is not to join Honors. Class felt like a low level civics course and lecture just covered what was in the reading so it felt redundant. Class was disorganized and research project was very disorganized. She was very understanding about difficulties and seems to care about students.

Her brain is not STEM-oriented at all. She has a very lax, wishy-washy type personality. Criteria and expectations aren't extremely clear, I had to ask what she wanted in particular areas on assignments/the big project frequently. That being said, she appeared to grade just as fluidly. Reading quizzes VERY important (48%). Annotate MC questions.

Professor Evans' honors core two class is very intensive, requiring tremendous amounts of reading, studying, and participation in group projects. She is an interesting lecturer, and provides lecture notes that the quiz and exam questions come from. There are weekly quizzes, so don't miss class without an excused absence.

Dr. Evans is the only Honors Core 2, so you have to take this course with her. She is generally helpful, but the course is challenging. My suggestions: print out the powerpoints from eLearning and fill them in with her lecture notes as you go. When she gives you the study guides, midterm, and final are verbatim from the lecture notes/powerpoints.

She's awesome! The material in the hands of the wrong professor would put students to sleep every class but I always leave feeling inspired and ready to ace the class.

I would suggest anyone take Dr. Evans. She has such a passion for political science and teaching and cares her students receive the help they need to pass. Her class was not easy, but as long as you stay engaged and take notes you will pass. You should definitely take her, she will make you love political science!!

Dr. Evans knows her legislative material and makes learning about Congress fun. She's quirky and her sense of humor in class is great. She goes into great detail about not only Congress, but how the world shapes our members of Congress. I would recommend everyone take her class.

WONDERFUL. Dr. Evans is bright, funny, and is immensely intelligent. She is very good at her job and more profs. should do it her way. Take good notes, listen, and learn and you can't lose with Dr. Evans. Exams and written work are graded toughly but fairly. She is always willing to help and seems to love her students. I had a great time.

GREAT PROFESSOR!! She explains everything extremely clearly. Enjoys creativity in student work. She shows students, through her teaching, that Political Science isn't just fun, it's also a way of life. It has always been a pleasure to attend her classes. Her lecture style is riveting! By far the best at UWF!

I respect Dr. Evans so much! I don't remember one time she gave her political opinion the entire class. Her class is extremely organized, she's never in a bad mood. You do have to do the homework, show up to class and ask questions if you want to do well. She treats you like an adult, so be prepared to be respectful. One of the best teachers.

@ the person who said she "doesn't know the answer" to a theoretical question... hahaha aren't theoretical questions un-answerable by nature? Sounds like sour grapes to me. Dr. Evans is awesome! And her classes are NOT hard, grow up, it's not high school.

Comment:
The least knowledgeable of the Profs in the Govt dept. Spent more time socializing w/ students than acting like a Prof. Don?t pose theoretical questions above the required level of thinking. This irritates her and forces her to admit she does not know the answer. The tests come from Mars. Teaching is ambiguous at best. Teaching is not her forte.

Took Analyzing Political Issues... kinda despised the subject matter, but still liked her class a lot. She's very sweet and has a quirky sense of humor. Tries to relate to the students. If you actually **try**, you will do FINE. Stop whining and try to learn something. ;)

Her classes are difficult, definitely, but she's always willing to help you in any way she can. I would have preferred to have less lecture and more discussion, but that's just her teaching style ... if you try hard and study you will get good grades. If you take her because you've heard she's hot, you deserve a bad grade.

I found Dr. Evans class very interesting. I studied for 3 weeks for my mid-term exam. I was in her office for a whole week copying every note in her note book. I studied so hard for her mid-term. She gave us a study guide of 10 pages with over 500 questions and she only picked 35 from the guide. I thought I knew everything. I ended up with a 59 on
