Comment:

Probably my least favorite professor so far. If you are going to take him do it in person because he is impossible to reach online, which in my case was extremely frustrating during an online class. The work is not hard at all, but if you have any questions or problems with the online work you are out of luck, because he won't answer.

this professor has shown me more than i knew of the criminal justice system and crimes than i learn from highs school and the perceptive of that crime. Really spot on professor, you should have him as your CRIM professor.

Taking this course was the worst of my two years here. He trails off every class and only rambles in and on. I feel as though Ive learned nothing because he doesnt know how to teach. Take for an easy A, but if you want to actually pull something out of a class, take someone else.

His lectures are kind of boring but you need to go to them or you will miss a lot of his assignments, including what to prepare for quizzes. He spends a LOT of time going on random rants that are only tangentially related to the subject so get ready to focus. His tests and quizzes are 90% vocab only available in the book and a few others snippets.

He's an awesome teacher and person. I had so much stuff going on in my life personally when I had his class in the spring and he really took the time to work with me. Tests are easy if you read and go by the syllabus, he even provides reviews. Quizzes are mostly vocab so make flashcards!

I wish I could have this guy for every criminal justice related course. In many lectures, he refers back to his experiences. Make sure you pay attention in the lectures and do your reading. In class, he'll give you a scenario. You learn a lot about yourself and the criminal justice world, ethics wise. If you reach out to him, he will help you out.

Gets off topic so easily and constantly lets students tell irrelevant stories, makes it soo hard to focus/learn!! He's not my favorite teacher, but he's not terrible. I just don't care for his teaching style. Can be a very strict grader.

Online Course - Homework consists of threaded discussions/simple essay questions related to reading assignments. Some internet assignments. Read and do work on time and you will get a fair grade. Multiple Choice quizzes/tests based on text material - Very fair instructor. One of the best online courses I've taken.

professor kirchhofer is one of the best that o.c.c. has to offer. His lectures are never boring. Every class with Kirchhofer is interesting. He's damn good looking too. I wonder, do professors actually read this??

This guy is funny. His classes are laid back. We joke around a lot and have fun with different senerios, but we also learn a great deal. He is not uptight nor is he uncaring. Kirchoffer is a good guy and as the semester goes on you have even more fun!
