You can tell he knows what he's talking about. His passion is contagious. You have to pay attention to lectures, and hands-on learning in the kitchen to pass, I would take his class again, and I am actually taking his Aromatics class this semester

Take the time and put effort into your binder! I use it once a week now. You wont realize how much you learned from him until its over. Hes very knowledgeable and give great info. Hes absolutely hilarious but you have to catch it. He throws SHADE lol. He is a wealth of information that sadly goes untapped by students. Take advantage of catering

Chef Metcalfe is a great teacher. He loves his craft and is anxious to teach us. He will jump in and help any student. He will solve problems with you and teach you from your common mistakes. Yes, his humor is dry, but he is full of excellent knowledge. I have learned o much from Chef Metcalfe. I look forward to taking more classes with him. Thanks

this class is for job experience; this teacher leave everything blank all semester not even letting you know what you need to turn in at end of semester unless you message him. what you need is for your work place chef to sign a" form paper" that states your job title, place of work, job description, hours worked, and your on the job performance.

His humor is dry, his best jokes are made under his breath. He can be strict, but very helpful. He's quiet, but wants you to do your best, so be warned, he'll sneak up on you to give you helpful advice. Make sure your uniforms look great, you're clean and your fingers are trimmed short! Very knowledgeable and great Chef overall. Would take again!!

I am surprised so few people have graded him. He is the best chef at CSN. I highly recommend taking any culinary class with him. He has so much experience and is easy to joke around with. His tests are super easy and he will help you a lot in the kitchen if you ask for it! He also offers extra credit so easy A for sure.

he is a very good teacher! sooo talented! I was intimadated to ask him questions sometimes tho. dont miss class! its only once a week so one day can you put you behind. study for the quizes bc the midterm is basically it! I had so much fun in this class, very understand. i recommend!!
