Dr. Ohren is one of the best if not the best professor in the entire political science department of Eastern Michigan University, he leads you to learn and succeed. I had two classes with him PLSC 615 (Public Budget Applications) and PLSC 695 (Capstone). I can easily say he was the best and the most effective professor I ever worked with.

The capstone is a lot of work and a long haul. Dr. Ohren is very nice and helpful though. He'll work with you to get it done, but you have to push him by submitting multiple drafts. He grades almost exactly like a copy editor. Get out of going to the seminar if you can, it's pointless.

Professor Ohren is one of the best, if not the best professors I have ever had. He is extremely enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated to his job and his students. He is great. Take as many classes with him as you can, you will learn a lot! Also, for an older guy, he is hot.
