Joyce is an amazing teacher. I loved her class I took it in the summer, had it 4 days a week for 4 hours a day. she made it so much fun. Her test can be hard about 70 MC and 3-5 essays but she gives extra credit essays. she gives you the exact questions that will be on the test. i only studied the essays. a lot of homework but it really does help.

Alot of work, but well worth it! Joyce is a wonderful teacher and offers you EVERY opportunity for success, all you have to do is take it! She offers tutoring, take advantage of this! ASK QUESTIONS! All she wants is for us to be ready for the real world, and after her class you are prepared for Clinicals!

She may seem very serious at first but a very educated and fun lady to learn from.I think she the best biology instructor on Delta campus.When you learn from her you don't forget.There is work and homework outside of class and it time consuming but well worth it because it helps on exams.She prepares you and that what counts.

AWESOME TEACHER, WONDERFUL PERSON! There is a ton of homework, she is willing to help, group tutoring available, EVERY opportunity in the world for help, all you have to do is ask. She only wants us to be prepared and know what we are doing. Learned more from her than ANY other prof I have had. Be prepared to work, but it is soooo worth it!!!!

Joyce is a great instructor. She is very passionate about Microbiology. Homework assignments are exhaustingly long and tedious; but fairly easy. She basically points you directly to the answer. Homework takes 6-12 hrs per week. Tests are somewhat difficult if you don't study. Essays on every exam. Very good teacher, but you must study.

Joyce is a very good teacher I wish we ciuld lecture a little more and a little less homework class pack 6-10 hours a week of homework if you hand it in you will get a 100% if you dont you can correct the problem and resubmit it, test are about 70 m/c and at least 3 to 5 mandatory esay and 2 or 3 extra credit they take about 3 1/2 hour to finish

Great teacher. She gives tons of homework, but you come away from her class with a lot of knowledge. If you do your assignments and go to the extra study sessions that the peer mentor offers you will surely get an A. Take her she is very helpful.

Loads of coursepack work, but ridiculously easy. Just set an hour aside a day or just whip through it the day before it is due like I did. The tests are easy. I pretty much made stuff up for my last test and got 103%. There are lots of opportunities for extra credit, so take them! Labs were fun. She's rather goofy sometimes, though.

WAY TOO MUCH HOMEWORK. I must have put in 15-20 hours a week. She gave me a C- even though I was dealing with hand surgery, father with cancer and busting my rear. The entire department teaches it to you like you are all going to go out and cure the world of every disease instead of for the health care field. Now I am out of nursing due to this

Wonderful teacher. She is so willing to help and really wants to prepare you for clinicals. Don't be afraid of the homework, it really does prepare you for the tests and gives you a good glimpse of what clinicals will be like. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed this class! Joyce does ask for a lot of homework each week, but I know my stuff now! She is laid back and a wonderful person!! She just is preparing us for Clinicals as nurses! For those who can't cut it in this class, DON'T BE A NURSE! This is the type of work we will do in clinicals!

AWESOME. You have alot of homework, but if you complete her assignments, You will pass her tests with flying colors. You don't need to study, just do the work. Her assignments are repetative, and when you take her exams you will definitely remember the answers. But if intend on working in the health profession, then you should understand hard work

I only have one class left to take at Delta so I've been through a professor or two, and I can honestly say that Joyce is the BEST! Sure she gives way too much homework but her dedication made me want to live up to her high standards. If you are ready to learn and willing to work, take Joyce. You won't be sorry.
