She's a good professor you just have to get closer with her so she knows you need help. The tutorials are at your own pace and if you've missed some she will unlock them for you. Her TA is amazing, does most of the tutoring sessions and really makes sure you understand before a test.

She is nice, awesome and a very helpful Professor! She explains very well, too. Pay attention in her class. If you have questions, ask her. Online homework requires notebook. Attend workshop will help you do well on the exam! Her TA is nice, too.

Her class was very easy. i wouldn't recommend her if you struggle in Math. I hardly heard her voice when she lectured . Most of the work was done online and class tests are in Class .she's sweet but just has to retire.

Although her class seems easy, coming to school is practically useless for her. Most of the work is done on this online source called Educosoft. As long as you do the work there you'll pass. Professor Iyer and her TA have some serious discipline issues. They act even worse than students, such as coming late. Be prepared to wait outside her class.

This professor is very helpful and will answer all your questions if u are unsure. She also offers tutoring if u need help before an exam. Its helpful if u do the homework becoz basically the exam is similar to the homework. You will do well if you do the homework and its extra credit anyways. Its not easy but its doable. I got an A and so can You!

She's not a good professor. She's very unclear, but she does offer lots of tutoring. Go to the tutor if you can, they are a lot more helpful. I'd suggest you take a different professor if math is your weakness.

Really didn't take much from this class. You have to do all your homework assignments, but of course, every teacher at valley college believes that the only thing you are doing in your life is taking their class.

You don't need the book. She knows what she is doing but doesn't explain well. Two hours of homework mininum per day it's extra credit but its the only way you'll learn. Five test 1 final drops lowest score. Go up to the board on a daily basis she guides you through the problem only way you'll learn in class. Ask questions she's willing to help.

I love Iyer because she makes sure you fully understand and appreciate the concepts she teaches by going over the proofs and pointing out the need they meet in the larger picture of mathematics. She is very generous at the end of the semester in boosting everyone's grades. ASK QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY! She loves you to be involved.

Overall a great teacher! All the homework (and theres a lot) is counted as extra credit which is nice and the test questions are mainly drawn from the practice test she puts online(usually about 4). Very willing to explain anything if you get lost but you have to ask! I suggest going up to the board if you can, she really walks you through there.

This class is probably the hardest pre algebra class at Valley. The good thing is it is so rewarding when you do well. All the tools are there for you to succeed and the benefit is you only meet once a week. So you do all your work online and come in and take a test every week. It is worth taking if you want a challenge. Instructor is great.

She's really kind but she can't teach! She lectures as if she's teaching herself and she doesn't really know how to explain something when you question it. Don't take her! If you do, good luck!

This is a hard subject to everyone. Please do not rate the professor bad because the subject is hard anyways. She is a good teacher, helpful if you ask. You will really rarely use textbook. Get familiar to online stuff otherwise you will fail. There are seriously a lot of homework but it is not required, it is extra credit if you do them. Do them.

This class is always hard for everyone. She teaches pretty well, but the homework and the test prep leave much to be desired, mostly because she just uses the online program which is a major pain because everyone is so used to writing out math their own way. That being said, just get used to the online stuff and study those practice tests.

She's super sweet and nice. She's good as a one on one teacher but when teaching an entire class, it's a different story. If you have time to be going back and fourth to her office or just don't mind asking a crazy load of questions ALL the time then take her but if you're a busy bee like me, take a different professor.

Seems to think everyone's a math major. New textbooks require you to use website. Website does not have all examples that are in book. Practice exams & quizzes are irrelevant to actual exams given. 100% mastery on multiple practice tests yielded 60% avg on actual tests which produces a non-transferable student. Back in the queue. Thanks for nothing
