She's a VERY nice, sweet, friendly lade. But she's not really a good professor. Her casebook was useless - you'll really need to read the supplement to understand the law because she does not do a good job explaining the black letter law.

I'm the minority, but I hated this class. Bloch's a kind prof, but also unbelievably defensive. Reading assignments are long, but she skips most of it while squandering class time justifying her teaching methods. The material isn't hard, but lectures are fragmented and unfocused because she stops to call on students every minute. A disappointment.

She's a nice lady and when she teaches you can understand what she's saying (cause she's not using a whole bunch of legal jargon). The only thing is that she covers everything in her book so you might have some issues at first trying to figure out what you should focus on. And read Dressler for sure.

Professor Bloch is very committed to teaching, and it shows in her efforts in class. While some activities might be more worthwile than others, I came away feeling like I learned something and I enjoyed doing it. Also just a great person.

Bloch is awesome! I loved her because she was human, funny and really approachable. She is a very smart person but, unlike many professors at Hastings, she is almost humble. She is always willing to hear everyone's opinion. My favorite professor at Hastings!

She chooses favorites - if you're one of them - good for you, if not, help is hard to come by. She knows the subject matter, but doesn't have a real world perspective - most critical if you want to practice Criminal Law.
