She was the first professor I had a connection with. I'd always go to her for ?s about outlines/speech topics & she was always happy to help. Make sure to do your outlines so you're not rushing to do it before your speech date. Outlines may be hard to understand at first but don't be scared to ask her on feedback & how to make it stronger.

Prof. O'bannon is one of the toughest communication graders for this course. It is a fun class however, that's not the point. Getting an A with this professor won't be possible. I spent more time writing in this class than in my English class. Avoid her or you will regret it later on in the semester.

Avoid this professor at all costs she makes communication one of the hardest classes when this class should be one of the easiest. Prof O'bannon is an insanely tough grader and getting a good grade in this class would be hell. I would recommend Prof. Zipnick you would get an easy A without any problems guarantee.

Professor Obannon is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She genuinely cares about her students and wants all of them to succeed. With that being said though, she does grade a bit hard, but that is because she cares. If you put in the work, you will pass this class no problem.

Professor O'Bannon is a great professor she is very good at speaking and making sure you are engaged. Keep in mind this is a public speaking class so you will have speeches but she helps you so much to understand the format of the speech and she is very helpful.

Attendance is VERY important. She begins to dock percentages of your grade for tardies or absences. The work load isn't bad, but the speech times are kind of long. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SYLLABUS. Don't forget to do outlines or the midterm, and judge debates early in the semester so you don't end up missing it. The class was pretty fun overall.

if you came for an honest review this is as honest as it will get. She is a VERY tough grader compared to the other professors that offer communication, try to avoid her as much as you can. She is very critical and grades you on the slightest detail it is insane. AVOID HER IF YOU CAN.

Great professor. Honestly I was scared to take her at first due to some of the reviews. However after taking Mrs Obannon I can confidently say that Im happy that I did. I learned a lot of communication skills from this class as well as skills on how to give a speech properly and how to study for one.

Professor O' Bannon is a great person and lecturer. You need to try and do all the speeches in order to pass. Practice is a must! You need to rehearse your speech, not to the point where you memorize but to the point that you understand. She defines an amazing public speaker and you will have fun! She is a not the easiest grader, but she cares.

Absolutely love this Professor! She is so amazing and caring. She makes sure you understand the topic and what your doing! She makes the class feel like a family and its not as stressful when doing a speech. The only homework are outlines you dont finish in class. She allows you to miss days, except presentation days. 10/10 recommend.

Alright here's the deal no matter what you're thinking if you care about earning a good grade and keeping that GPA high Avoid taking her at all cost. SHE IS BY FAR THE TOUGHEST GRADER I HAVE COME ACROSS, she is so critical and up to the slightest details its crazy. You think comm 1008 is an easy class well with her you'd have to think again.

If you're not good at public speaking you will for sure learn in this class. She's very funny and she's understanding but won't change your grade. When it comes to speeches she's not a hard grader. I don't really like public speaking but this class was always fun. She doesn't assign a lot of homework but attendance is mandatory.

Communications is boring but she makes it pretty fun and isn't too strict about topics. She makes you work for the grade, just do all the assignments she asks of you- on time. She is great at what she does and makes the class as interesting as it will get. She cares about her students success, you just have to be willing to do the work.

Going into this class, I believed my communication and public speaking skills were average, if not slightly above average. Unfortunately, her rigorous rubrics for speaking gave me more and more anxiety as the course went on. Great lady, super funny, and a wonderful person. Just a really tough grader. REALLY tough.
