I LOVE Kendra. She is an incredible teacher who tailors her lessons for each particular student. She knows that no two voices are the same and embraces that. She is the most incredible musician that I have ever met and she is able to impart that to her students. She is incredible for women but men should not study with her.

Comment:

Teaches poor technique to anyone with a bigger voice than hers. She may be good for small voices but emphasizes brightness and never mentions breath control, forcing the voice into a tiny laser beam. She always makes an effort to see her students perform but is not otherwise very warm or approachable.

Comment:

Kendra is the most down-to-earth voice teacher I've ever known. She is brilliant. Every lesson with her is a GREAT lesson, she has so much to offer and she knows the tricks of the trade. She has a no-nonsense approach to her teaching. She cares a great deal for her students and she puts alot of time and effort into us. You can't not love her.

One of those rare human beings who manages never to pull any punches while simultaneously remaining very, very kind. She gets more work than any other professor in the voice department, but manages to rearrange her schedule to come see her students perform. Seems hard-boiled, but she's all marshmallow in the middle. Wonderful teacher. Top marks.
