Comment:

I had Kendra for ASL 101 and she was so fantastic I made sure I got her for ASL 201. Taking nothing away from the other ASL profs because they are also fantastic, but I feel like I not only learn the most but I'm also the most excited to learn in her class, it's fun! Taking her class made me absolutely fall in love with ASL and now it's my minor!!!

Comment:

OH MY GOD! Kendra is the BEST professor I have ever had, her class is incredibly enjoyable and I learned so much. She feels where the class is at and adjusts the pace all the time so it's never boring or slow; and because it's a smaller language class, it's easier to make friends, which was really important for me my first semester. So much fun.

Kendra is incredible. You know shes conversing with you at a lower rate than she would with peers in ASL, bu she makes you feel like you can carry on a real conversation. Her teaching style helped me learn so much faster than my previous classes. Its a lot of conversations and group activities in class so class is important. I loved her class.

Comment:

Kendra is a great ASL professor. She teaches in a way that allows you to learn a lot of information in a small amount of time. Just when you start getting comfortable with the material, she makes it a little more difficult. But she's always willing to slow down and make sure you understand what you're learning. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Kendra is an amazing professor. Her class is always fun and entertaining. There are a few partner quizzes, so make sure you pick a partner who can preform well in front of an audience. Overall, I really loved this class. I'd definitely take Kendra's class again.

Professor Miller is an amazing professor! I would for sure take her for ASL101 for anyone who wants to learn the language. The class is taught with no voice and that was pretty intimidating, but it makes learning ASL easier and fun. If you don't go to class, you miss a ton. But you will never want to miss it!

Kendra is the best professor I have ever had at CMU. She is caring and funny and makes learning ASL easy and fun. I have seen her outside of the classroom from time to time and is always so happy to see me. Her heart is warm and she definitely knows how to teach ASL in an easy and informative way.

Kendra is the best professor I have ever had! She makes learning ASL fun and entertaining. She gives a lot of presentations, and even though they kind of suck at the time, they are really helpful. She's very enthusiastic about teaching and she is always there to help! I would take her for every ASL class if I could!

Kendra is such an amazing ASL professor! I had no prior ASL experience and was petrified on the first day when i realized we couldn't use voice in the class. However, Kendra makes it super easy and fun to learn! Actively participate in class, practice a bit on your own, and do the homework! If you do that, there is no reason not to get an A!

I absolutely loved Kendra's class. She is hilarious! She is a very patient and understanding teacher. I was so recommend her to anyone that is going to take a ASL class. There are about 3 partner assignments and a solo assignment plus the final exam. Show up to class and practice with a partner once or twice and you'll do fine in her class.

She is an awesome teacher! It was a lot of fun. The hardest thing is trying to figure out what she is saying about when things are due. Make sure you ask the TA when assignments are due. TAKE HER!

Kendra Miller is the best instructor I have had at CMU. I changed my career plans because of her class. Extremely helpful and caring as well as funny. Her classes almost never get out early but I was RARELY ever bored. Buy the book and read the culture info for exams.

Kendra is extremely kind and willing to help everyone. Don't take this class as a blow off because that isn't what it is. There's a lot of practice involved. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone not interested in sign language.

Arguably the best ASL teacher at CMU. She is very patient and easy to understand compared to the other teachers I've had. She is very funny and kind and will talk to you after class if you want to just chat. Highly recommend taking her if you can.

She is Fantastic! Not only was she helpful in class, but i went to her with some basic questions about the ASL minor and she was MORE than willing to help! I wish she could teach all of my ASL classes! If you have a chance to take a class with her DO IT!

Kendra is an excellent teacher. She makes it very easy to pick up ASL and is very easy to understand. She makes sure you get enough practice to master everything for the tests. If you practice and attend class, it is easy to get an A.
