Ken is the "Last of the Mohicans." If you don't know what that means, then you don't need a professor review. You will learn more from Ken than any other professor, you won't spend more than 15 bucks on textbooks, and you'll be optimistic about your future. Take his class.

Comment:
Ken is an excellent teacher--he keeps the content relevant and is a master at modeling best practices in the classroom through his own teaching. My one critique is that he does not allow enough time (and perhaps enough regard) for in-depth or exploratory student questions. Overall, Ken was a highly effective, professional, and caring teacher.

Ken has given me the tools for classroom management that I still remember and use 11 years later as a veteran high school science teacher... of all my School of Ed. professors, Ken is the standout and will never be forgotten. I am lucky to have crossed his path.

Comment:
Ken is on a different level of teaching and understanding how people learn. Some students do not understand his classes because he creates an open atmosphere that is warm and inviting, and this contradicts the status quo of "boring difficult to learn in" classes that are the norm. I appreciate Ken's teaching style. Very refreshing. He may be a Jedi

Great Classroom management - using hilarious examples and real-life stories. Only wish this was mandatory BEFORE our student teaching assignments - instead of right in the middle of them.

What he teaches for engaging HS learners isn't germane for HS learners. He wasn't engaging and he treated you like a high schooler when you asked questions.

Ken is the man! He really knows his stuff and yeah he uses humor, so what? The subject matter can be pretty heady at times and humor is appreciated. The techniques he teaches are really great and he's a real sincere guy. Cant get enought of those overhead jokes!

while helpfulnes and clarity are not an issue....the usefulness of the classes are at question. (I think he cusses because he likes to, not to prepare us for high school)

Comment:
This professor prefers young female students. Seems to like acting "fatherly." In other words, you will feel patronized. All classes are lecture only, and get ready to hear the same stories several times.
