Kevin lectures what he tests on. He follows the schedule, covers reviews and tests in class. Quizzes are basically homework. If his examples confuse you, request clarification. He's not humiliating you! 3rd test was examples right out of the book & final was almost identical to the review he worked in class. Do the homework, ask for help!

I saw a lot of negative feedback on this guy and took the class anyways. Best mistake I could have made. This guys class is tough but not impossible at all. You will spend a lot of time on math lab, which blows. If you don't want to work, take another class. If you do, you will come out extremely prepared for 1315.

Kevin was excellent at teaching Calc I. He is great at teaching maxima, minima, and points of inflection. Tests are fair as all problems come from the concepts covered in lectures. He answers questions respectfully and loves his subject. He gave "practice exams," which were not graded, that helped me prepare for the exams. I loved his course!

He goes through materials at a reasonable pace but he does show his useful methods so prepare to take vigorous notes. He has a couple exams but he used mymathlab which is extremely difficult and frustrating to go between different methods. He does give difficult problems on the exams but does prepare you for the wors and embeds the material in mind

Great teacher! Tests very similar to reviews, which he spends a whole class period going over before the test. Also goes over test for an entire class period after handing it back so people can ask questions. Good about saving class time for homework questions. Just do the homework to prepare for tests and you will be fine.

I had Kevin for trigonometry, calculus I, calculus II, and calculus III. I loved his organization and solid lectures. He had a good sense of humor, and he liked his subject. Back then, I was kind of wondering if I should pursue a bachelors degree. Kevins suggested that college is fun. Teachers with good attitudes help make learning fun.

Kevin lectures at a good pace. He knows his math. He is respectful to students. He tests what he teaches. He gives graded home quizzes. Assigned homework is ungraded (but important). Kevin answers questions in office hours or sometimes after class. (Some people prefer to ask in class too, I just prefer one-on-one.)

Great class. Kevin helps you learn the math well with a good spread of problem types. Homework assigned but not graded. At home quizzes are graded. Another student and I got stuck on one quiz problem, but when we took our scratch to office hour, Kevin helped us out. He gives practice tests before the actual tests.

He clarifies how book sections correspond to the lectures. He helps in office hours. (As he says, it is his job.) He paces the class; he covers material, assigns homework (ungraded), gives at home quizzes, gives the practice exam (goes over if requested), and gives an exam before covering new material. Comparing quizzes with classmates allowed.

Good math instructor. Clear, slow lecturer, good for taking notes. Online quizzes are like homework; you can access them for several weeks and have unlimited retakes. VERY helpful in class with covered chapters, will answer virtually anything in office hour. I visited every week with homeworkquiz questions and got help. Gives good practice exams.

Kevin Leith assigns homework but does not collect it. He's helpful with any questions regarding the lectures or homework material. Doing well on quizzes (work hard!) helps your grade. Exams are from lecture material. Kevin's a good lecturer, paces the course extremely well, gives good test reviews, and loves his subject. Highly recommended.

Kevin is an excellent lecturer. He thoroughly answered any question I asked. His tests are like the homework and quizzes. It helped me to rework problems given for homework, exam reviews, and in the class problems from lectures before the exams. Make sure to memorize the definitions given in class. I learned a lot from Kevin and am glad I had him.

Boring class. Does not give strait answers to student questions. Will tell you something is ok to do on a test then mark you wrong and not give points back. He tells you that he will lie to you so you never know if he is being truthful or sending you down the wrong path again. Montoya Campus is in need of a better math teacher.

I spent many hours doing homework and studying har, but apparently not hard enough. I actually enjoyed lectures and was usually engaged the entire class period. Online quizesbig waste of time I could have spent doing more hw. I don't want to have to do a 2 hour quiz over if I mistyped a number. Felt I deserved a B :(. Test reviews not helpful

Kevin teaches well. He is clear, fair, and knowledgeable. Do homework, online quizzes (can retake), take notes in class and work them. If you don't get something, ask Kevin in office hour. He will help you understand anything. He gives good lectures. The quizzes are straight from the homework.

Take Kevinlearn math. Do homework, do well on open book online quizzes(from homework), study (usu. 3 tests1 final), ask questions in office hour&class. He's helpful. His lectures are clearrelevant. Meticulous grader, gives partial credit. May curve sometimes but did not in my class due to some A's. Had him for Cal II and taking him for Cal III.

Took Mr. leith for trig and calculus 1 and enjoyed both classes. The grading policy is simple and strait forward. Also work hard on your quizzes and you will be fine. He reviewed all tests including practice Exams. I never had a problem understanding K nor does he mumble. I will miss this class, I wish I had an opportunity to take his calc 2 class.

This is a teacher who will lecture you on how to do a basic problem in the math book section. He uses the online quizzes for the majority of your grade and then tests. You will only be graded on these things so no homework for credit. The tests are fairly easy if you know what he lectured. You must be able to teach yourself as well.

Mr. Leith̢۪s lectures, reviews and test are all very similar. Online quizzes are mandatory and annoying but intended to boost the student̢۪s grade. Kevin does his job: presents new material, reviews relevant material from previous classes, provides helpful reviews and returns tests the next class period.
