He is good but very monotone. If you cant stay awake, you need the textbook to understand but the textbook wasnt need until two homework questions. Advice: pay attention and take good notes of the math questions. Then, you can pass the class. The class is not hard but too much material to study. Two exams and some homework. Not too much workload

He was my favorite professor of the semester. He teaches for the student and breaks each problem down as simple as possible so everyone can really understand it. Great guy defiantly take him but sit in the front so you can hear him. (:

He wasn't the most clear professor when it came to explaining things and his midterm and final can trip you up. He's also very monotone and and class can drag on for what feels like an eternity. Not the worst guy to take finance with but if you can take it with another professor I would. I wouldn't sit in another class with him again.

HORRIBLE. avoid at all costs. unless you are a finance major he makes the class extremely difficult and makes absolutely zero effort to help. additionally, he is the rudest man on the planet. why they would ever make him the head of the department is beyond me, stay far away from him

Very Smart Professor!! He goes the extra mile to help his students. Class is straight forward. Material is pretty dense so its best not to miss class. HW are always based of what he taught and his exams are based off HWs w. few multiple choice. Overal you will learn in this class

He is the chairperson of finance department. He knows what he teaches and won't confuses his students. He's very strict on grading. A lot of homework and projects. midterms and finals are in class. very difficult. I recommend Aw's fin205 instead of his.

He's the best Finance prof you can take, his tests are straight forward but the final killed me. The HW is easy if you take the notes in class. And he's just the most adorable guy ever. He really knows his stuff and is willing to help if you need it. You actually learn instead of just memorize which is great. Would definitely take him again!

very serious but a gret professor. gives examples in class, goes through them slowly and step by step, give similar examples for hw, then gives similar ones for the test. Just show up and pay attention and you get an A+.

Adorable, Indian man. A little too by the book, but still great. Goes over the same thing 10 different ways til you get it. Only grades HW for effort. Very good for FIN101. Definitely take him.

This has been a horrible experience. He makes no effort to teach the material in an applicable "real world" format and his exams are a 180 of what he goes over in class. Be prepared to teach yourself the material because he can't be bothered. This was a totally stressful and useless class. Please don't take him.

Amazing professor. Had him for 110 and 165 and he's just awesome. You actually learn in class and understand the material (which is more than I can say for other Finance profs I've had). Viswanathan is very patient and understanding too. Exams are EXACTLY what's given for HW but with different numbers.

I had him for both fin 101 and 110, and hes the best professor ive ever had. so easy, if you just go to class. all you need to do is copy what he writes on the board, and learn it, if you do that, then thats the exam, easy A if you can sit through the class, extremely boring, but awesome guy, you will learn a ton and do well

He is a terrible teacher. I am a 4.0 student, so I am not just letting off steam here. He literally does NOT give you enough time for the tests (more than 50% class still taking it). HARD grader, Very picky. He speaks in a very thick accent and is NOT helpful. STAY AWAY

Highly recommended professor. He teaches in an organized manner which makes it easy to follow and tests on the exact same material. He's also very willing to provide extra help if needed. Very nice guy and fair grader. One of the better finance professors at the university; especially on a graduate level.

I havent takin my final yet but I do have say this professor is very good, he moves a little fast but overall a good professor, very helpful, and is very willing to help you out, test for most part are straight forward not very hard but very easy. I highly recommend taking him if you could, for Fin 205 if he is teaching it he's great.

He is great. Soo easy. Presents the material, gives examples of every situation possible, assigns a few problems every 2-3 weeks. Tests are the same exact problems. Study your notes and you're guaranteed an A++++. TAKE HIMM =)

Annoying much! He has a robotic voice and always sounds nervous. He raises and lowers the Overhead screen 50 times a class and is terribly boring. Finance 110 is a tough class and his "quirks" are not helpful. no paper or project so if you bomb the tests forget it. You must read the book and know FIN101 to do well.

He is the best professor I've had so far. He is just so perfect imo. He presents the material in an orgazined manner and answers questions clearly. He gives very helpful feedback on all the assignments and projects. It's easy to get an A in this class if you do all your work.
