My all time favorite professor. I would be absolutly thrilled to take more of her classes. The exams are easy to study for just pay attention in class (oh and don't forget about Sona like I did...)

Comment:

Dr. Stark is such a sweet person. She always tries to make her lectures interesting and she is very thorough with providing information in class. She offers plenty of help to her students and if you pay attention during lecture the exams are a piece of cake. Plus, she gives plenty of extra credit opportunities.

Comment:

Honestly my favorite teacher I've had because she makes sure you can retain everything in the lectures AND she knows that her students are human and make mistakes every now and then. BUT I would definitely advise going to every class, it makes a huge difference.

Comment:

Dr. Stark was extremely communicative in her expectations & provided an extensive amount of materials to help you succeed in her class.  Her Powerpoints were informative and detailed.  She went above & beyond sending email reminders and helpful materials. I would definitely take any class she taught in the future!!

Comment:

This was the best online class I've ever taken. Her course design requires interaction with her so it is not just 'read, test, write, read, test, etc' without feedback or interaction. There is no reason to not receive a good grade in the class if you participate and do your work. Stick to the course schedule and it's fine.

Dr. Stark is an amazing professor. She expects hard work and won't let you simply slide by, but her lectures are interesting and interactive and she really does care. She makes a good effort to get to know her students and responds to emails promptly. She also sends out lots of reminders about assignments, readings, and other suggestions she has.

Kim Stark is the slowest professor I have ever had. She gets very off topic frequently. Such a nice lady and her tests are pretty easy. But if you're a student who needs a faster pace, DO NOT take this professor. There are some days she will get through three slides in one hour. Also she will talk to you like a five year old so be prepared for that

She is not personable and is extremely rude. She is not available for the office hours that she states on her syllabus. Her grading is extremely difficult though she does not give good feedback. During her class lectures she gets distracted and off topic, she also lets her son from high school come and she just talks to him the entire time.

Stark was a funny Professor! You must attend class to take notes. Lectures are heavy and you do not want to miss anything. Study Study Study for the tests and you will pass.

Very rude in emails not easy to talk to. Class is pretty easy to take but don't expect her to be lenient at the end of the semester.

Dr. Stark was a bit difficult to understand because some days she would be very understanding and warm and then there would be days when she would get defensive(ESPECIALLY IN HER EMAILS). Gave a lot of reading assignments, and gave very lengthy, totally unnecessary questions on quizzes.

Comment:

Kim really makes the material meaningful & relevant. Don't worry about all those comments about her divorce - she doesn't complain about him anymore and she's just Kim Stark now! She gets to know each of her students & will have a personable conversation with you outside of class. Will extensively help you if you need it, but you probably won't.

Stark is okay, her test are scenario and difficult to follow, atleast for me, but she gives long chapters about 30 to 40 pages per chapter and reading is detrimental, and dont think about skipping because lecture is important. Also if you go the class before thanksgiving break she will most likely give 5 bonus points so thats cool

Comment:

Kim, a quirky professor, although she does make learning a little more fun and easy. Pay attention to her lectures and power points to pass easily (Some may need more studying though). Be careful on essays (not that there's many of them). Very little homework, but focus on the tests. Overall, she is a good professor to understand and learn from.

She has a doctorate and she also worked as a clinical psychologist before teaching. She's very knowledgeable and quirky. She does take attendance, she does give assignments.

Comment:

Very helpful, only problem I had with her was how much she talked about her divorce that she was going through (which started in may). Didn't need the book too much unless you plan to read the text yourself which you almost don't need to because she gives you everything for tests which were generally easy. I recommend her for Psychology!

Comment:

I took this class online in the summer, it was her first time teaching it online and she informed us in advance. The material covered was well put together but the test were really hard. In order to pass you have to read the teacher's mind or read each chapter 3 times. She was very good to respond to emails and calls. Overall it was a good class.

Comment:

Kim is an awesome teacher! She's very lively and definately makes everyone laugh throughtout the entire class. Watch out for the BB quizzes, she doesnt mess around. YOU GOT TO DO THEM! Also her tests are pretty hard. Make sure you read the text and go over your notes, then you should be fine.

She was FANTASTIC!! very, funny and very knowledgable. Watch out for plagiarism cause she doesn't mess around when it comes to that. My Favorite teacher thus far. Would love to take another one of her classes
