Comment:

Very clear lecturer and I highly recommend. He explains by example instead of boring you with theory. Never had to use book except for homework problems since his online notes and my notes were great. Also goes over all previous homework problems at beginning of class. No surprises on tests either. Take him.

Comment:

Great teacher. If you pay attention in class and do the minimal homework he assignes, the class is a breeze. You don't even really need to read the book except as a reference. The way he teaches how to do the problems is way easier than the book describes. I highly recommend attending class because of this.

Ok overall the class isn't that hard once you put in enough studying time for the material to make sense. But I learned nothing from lecture because he doesn't convey the material well-had to teach myself everything. I am one to take advantage of office hours which I did. But he is very sarcastic and mean and sometimes doesn't help you.

Dr. Lee is horrible! He goes over notes quickly on powerpoint and often rushes through the problem. Most of the time he can't hear what you are even asking. Went to tutoring but that was a waste of time b/c there is one person trying to help a group of 15 students from different STAT classes, all going over different things. Office hours are a wast

Dr. Lee is boring and monotone, and goes over each problem in great detail... which is great in the higher lvl math stuff! His tests are great b/c it isn't some random crap out of nowhere, what he teaches is what's on the test. He has a good attitude and was always willing to help. Aside from being kind of boring, an excellent teacher.

Dr. Lee is amazing. Anyone who says he's boring must only think so because they're lame themselves and are unable to see why statistics is important. He's extremely clear and does an excellent job conveying conceptual information as well as skills for solving problems. His tests are fair; all you need to do is pay attention in class and do the HW.

Okay; he's boring.. so what? He's EASY. He gives out study guides and goes over the answers to them before each test- and his test questions are JUST like the ones that are on the study guide(just different numbers)- i rarely used the book nor payed attention in class- but was able to Ace every test, and math was my worse subject. TAKE HIM!

SOOOO BORING!! coming to class seemed almost pointless because he basically put me to sleep everytime. he posts his notes online so you can print them off. his reviews were important though because they were just like the exam. the homework was ok and the project was painless, got an A on it.

Easy class, he's very clear on concepts, tests are EXACTLY like the reviews he posts on blackboard. If you forget to do the online homework, you're screwed. It's worth an exam grade altogether &they're only available for a few days, he doesn't take them late.he also doesn't give extra credit. if you take the class in the summer, there is no project

I got an A in the course and I barely even had to try. My biggest problem with him is that sometimes he's not on the same wavelength as his students when they ask him questions. Luckily, unless you're just completely mathematically inept, you can get by in this class with minimal effort.

Well, what can I say about Dr. Lee? He is monotone and he will put you to sleep, but is clear and if you pay attention you will pass. His reviews are just like the test, so that is good anyway. One side note, If you don't understand something or want to ask him a question, he gets sarcastic and annoyed. He is not much for one to one help. Easy A.

Nice but so boring. class optional. textbook is useless and confusing, homework is not required (only online HW is graded). BUT DO DO the chapter review questions that he posts online, they are exactly like his tests with different numbers! i would recommend.

Wow, this was by far the most boring class I've ever been in. Not only does he speak in a monotone, but his attitude towards math is about as exciting as watching paint dry. He is the better of the evils, however, because all the math professors at ODU suck.

Incredibly boring. If you pay attention you will do well, but it's almost impossible to stay interested in the class due to the way he speaks and his lack of energy. I would recommend finding another professor if you want to get a good grade in Stat.

very monotoned but explans things very well. if u go to class & do the review exercises for the tests u'll do fine. the 1st test i got a 65% but i didn't do the review exercises but the 2nd one i did and got a 100%. u don't have to do the HW assignments just do the review exercises bcuz the tests are the exact same as them with different numbers.
