Ms. Fay is a great English teacher. I think students come straight out of high school and expect that college will mirror their high school experiences. If you do the work and open yourself up to learning, then you'll be fine. Honestly, look at the reviews on this site - there's an obvious theme in the people who've given her low scores.

I think the most annoying part is Penn State makes us take this crap. It's the same history we learned every year since we were five years old. It's not hard. Just memorize the material, like a typical history course, and "puke" it all back up on the test.

Very tough on grading. Seh gave us really dumb stuff to write about. She made us do a paper on a famous speech, which of course she wanted us to do mostly presidential speeches, and I dont know anything about politics so I couldn't write it. Oh and we used the text book maybe 3 times to look at page formats.

I thought she was a great teacher when I had her my first semester.Yeah, she might be a little tough on grading, but we revised our papers in class so she has reason. Just do the papers on time and you should be fine. Overall, she is very helpful.

DO NOT take any of her classes! She is a very mean, opinionated woman. We did nothing in class except talk about the election. In my opinion she is an uneducated, rude, witch. She is not a fair grader at all. Half of the class dropped it the first week. I really wish I would've dropped it too.
